  Pleasant, great view

  This is not a four star hotel, more like comfortable 3 star. I'll start with the positive..room 616, the view was spectacular and we couldn't of asked for more regarding view. Large room with 2double beds, couch, table ,good mirrors etc etc. Lots of wardrobe space, free safebox , very clean and daily cleaning if requested. This room was very quiet part of the hotel overlooking lake and mountains.The check in was propmt and young girl was pleasant. There is a hugeeeeeee supermarket on corner across the road. Good location too, and lovely pebble beachy type area across road for evening walks ,lots of ducks,swans. Food was plenty as half board but repetitive. Staff got pleasant only as the week went on. 2 Italian waiter was very nice and good english.Rest of staff seemed overworked and fed up. Brekfast has lots of choice. We filled our tummys for the day then evening meal though ok. Could of bee better thank god they had nice pizza and soup on plenty for self serving Dessert could be better,in fact the cakes they have out for breakfast would be good for dinner time. Food was only ever luke warm or cold except soup. Now the negative!! Omg those blue lights over the beds,they need to go, there was no air conditioning allowed until July ..unreal..its too warm in the evenings and no air in the rooms. The room had a huge shared terrace very quiet though..We did have that view and our own sunbeds but I didnt feel we could leave patio open at night because of shared apartments along that terrace. W couldnt sleep with heat. There is no bar in this hotel,only the restaurant which stops serving around 11-12pm.No entertainment no music.Also lady of front desk needs to learn to be pleasant.Staff look miserable at times. There isno area to leave suitcases except at lifts in foyer so if youve a late flight...not sure that's ideal.Also the TV.. they should provide English channels.. its a long week if you decide to have early evenings and no channels.The open bathroom is as you come into the Room,so make sure you put the do not disturb sign up on door or maid might walk in . Overall look it was good,we made most of what we had..no coffee or kettle in room. This should be a must!!!!

  Beautiful hotel

  The hotel was gorgeous and the rooms surprisingly huge. The balcony was also big and we could see the lake between the trees and the mountains. We had the sweetest cleaning maid that took her job seriously. The breakfast buffet was huge and had something for everyone. I have never seen such a breakfast buffet in Italy before. At lunch we tried their amazing pizzas. We brought them up to our room and enjoyed them on the balcony. The dinner also had a huge buffet before the main meals. It was different every day. For dessert there was at least 5-6 choices. You did not go hungry from the restaurant. I loved the food. The staff of the hotel was sweet and knowledgeable. Always ready to help with anything. All in all this was one of the best hotels we've stayed in in Italy. I highly recommend it.

  Terrible food

  On arrival at the hotel the reception staff were less than friendly. One of my party had medication which needed to be kept refrigerated. She was told to leave it in the fridge in her room. The room fridge was not cold enough and trying to get help from the staff was practicay impossible. We were ignored on 2 occasions by staff at reception who were having a conversation among themselves. The rooms were clean and spacious. There were flimsy plastic cups left beside the bathroom sink for water. These were not replaced over the course of the week and there were no glasses. The worst part of the hotel was the food. The breakfast was cold every day and the choices were limited. Dinner was inedible on a few occasions and the presentatn was non existent. Although we paid half board we ended up eating elsewhere because the food was so bad and I am not a fussy eater at all. It is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

  highly recommended

  Found this hotel last minute and was very pleased with it. Very clean, great setting, beach across the road, lovely pool, lovely room views, staff were very friendly and welcoming in the hotel and restaurant. I had a motorbike with me and there was plenty of secure parking beneath the hotel. I recommend this hotel.

  Great location near beach and old town, great breakfast, pool, lake view

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We loved the view of the lake from our balcony. Breakfast was delicious with meats, cheeses, eggs, omelets, breads, pastries, yogurt and cereal. The staff was friendly and spoke English. The pool was large and had shrubs and flowers surrounding it. Our room was clean and had a mini fridge. The beach is right across the street. Our room was quiet. The air conditioning and WIFI worked great! The pool was large and clean but the jacuzzi was not open. Bring an Italian adapter for charging electronics, our German adapters didn't work in the electrical outlets.
