  Portobellos restaurant

  4 friends and I had lunch at portobellos. While waiting for our lunch, the owner came to our table and asked if someone was driving a Honda Pilot. My friend said yes and he said the rear back tire was almost flat. He said there was a Goodyear tire store across the street. My friend left to drive her car over while we began eating our lunch. The owner came and took her plate away and said he would keep her food warm until she returned. We were visiting from out of town and really appreciated the kindness shown to us by the owner. The flat was repaired and we able to continue our beach trip.

  Wonderful

  You are received by the friendly and so helpful director Bertrand at the reception. Dinner and breakfast were great. Had a wonderful facial beauty treatment by Cleo. Only wished the sauna would open earlier.

  Staying in Trois Epis

  After a long tour in all the villages of Alsace for the wine road we decided to stay on the highest place in Trois Epis We found hotel L' Alexain and we stayed there for one night The view from the hotel is spectacular and you could see as far as your eyes could see if you had a balcony in front( good for us we did) Still the facilities and the rooms were not analogous to the view, not renovated and not offering facilities that for other hotels,in such a lovely place,would have been considered a must. We did not have the pleasure of using some athletic facilities but the breakfast we had next morning was average. Personnel at an average level. To finalize next time a might be visiting this place, most likely I will be seeking for another option.

  A room with a view

  We stayed in this hotel for a long weekend with friends. Our room was nicely appointed and had a lovely view over the Rhine river plain. There is plenty of parking space but if you have a lot of luggage you have to drive round the back of the hotel and was through the back entrance, however, this is not indicated when you arrive. There is also a very small lift. The shower room was rather small but equipped with a hairdryer. Bring your own toiletries. The staff was very helpful, friendly, efficient and are the backbone of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was alright but repetitive. The proprietor gave a long-winded speech each morning about the weather and places of interest which, although possibly interesting, rather interrupted ones breakfast. We took the half-board but there were no choices to be had although you could change a meat/fish dish if you informed the staff earlier enough. The food was alright. We did not use the hotels wellness with a pool, massages, etc.

  Nice location but that's it

  Nice location but that is it. Diner is at 19.00 and at 20.00 hours and if you want something to drink between 18.00 and 18.45 you better bring it yourself since all personnel eats then. A course with cheese contains one piece of brie and that is it. Breakfast contains mini croissants, mini chocolate bread and baquette which jou can cut yourself.
