Fantastic HolidayWe arrived August 18th for our 10 night stay at the hotel. Although the hotel doesnt look like much from the outside, we were pleasantly surprised upon reaching reception to find a clean, welcoming and airy space. Staff on the desk were efficient and told us to get lunch whilst we waited for our room (we arrived a few hours before check in). First impressions of the all inclusive offering at lunch were good and we continued to be generally impressed with this aspect of the hotel. Fussy eaters should be able to find something at all meals although after ten days it can feel repetitive. We particularly liked the poolside snack bar which offered salads, fruit, pizza and other snacks throughout the day. Wine and beer were available with meals but the white wine was often unfortunately quite warm. Brits shouldnt expect a traditional full English, but there was lots of fresh bread and preserves, cheese and ham toasties and always freshly fried eggs and fruit available too at breakfast time. No fresh orange, just watery stuff from concentrate out of a machine. Good coffee always available. The pool area was one of our favourite parts of the hotel, with two large pools and one small and plenty of sun beds for guests. We never struggled to get a subbed although some did get reserved early on. In one of the pools there are jets to create a poolside jacuzzi. There isnt much in the way of entertainment for kids by the pool through the day, it would have been nice to have a few more games to get the kids involved with. Staff were extremely hardworking and efficient, the shifts they do are very long. There was often a man in a suit walking around who appeared to be a manager of some sort. Perhaps he could try interacting with guests? It seemed to us that he was just checking up on staff which was off-putting to be honest. Its clear for anyone to see how hard the staff work and as a manager relaxing, talking to guests and cracking a smile might be better than constantly watching over your staff. This hotel is situated in a very picturesque lagoon with lots of activities close by. Theres not much in the way of nightlife unless you go into nearby Porec so we did feel like we were stuck at the hotel some nights when we perhaps would have liked to wander out. Hotel entertainment ranged from excellent: live shows and fireworks on the nearby beach, to cringeworthy: singers who sounded like Vic Reeves drunk karaoke. We were able to watch the fantastic fireworks from our balcony so definitely worth paying a little extra for a sea view balcony room. The room was spotlessly clean upon arrival but the maid service was hit and miss, it never really felt like beds were properly made up. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor to the point that there was clear water damage in the paintwork on the door. This needs sorting as mopping the floor with towels is an inconvenience guests shouldnt have to deal with. There are lots of nice areas with stunning views to sit and enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon/evening drinks here. My only suggestion for improvement would be more for kids in terms of a games room. There is one pool table but this of course got overcrowded with kids wanting to play. Perhaps some arcade games or air hockey would be a welcome addition given the hotel clearly has space. Do make use of the activities which are included. We loved mini golf and the pedalo in the sea. Overall, a wonderful holiday!!

Simply the bestWe have just returned from a fabulous 9 night stay at this hotel. Some of the reviews i read on here are not very nice but i have to say, this hotel is absolutely lovely. It is situated in a beautiful lagoon with stunning views out to sea. We payed extra for a "side sea view" but i have to say, there was no side about it, we had a full on sea view. The room itself was lovely and clean and more than adequate for my husband and I and our 13 year old son. The beds are very comfy and rooms are cleaned every day. We absolutely loved the food, there is something for everyone. If my fussy 13 year old can find something to eat then they must be doing something right!! Wednesday nights are gala nights in the restaurant where the staff really push the boat out and we were fortunate enough to be there for 2 gala nights. Any wonder i put 5lbs on. There are 2 swimming pools and a small pool for the little children/babies. I know people have issues with the soft drinks and yes they are not what you would get back home but they really are not that bad. The bar staff will always get your child a "childrens cocktail" which might be a nicer option. There are pedalos and bikes to hire or play mini golf, tennis and table tennis - You get 1 free hire of these for a weeks' stay and we definitely made use if these. It was my birthday whilst there and that evening there was a knock on our door to find the lovely young man from reception with a bottle of bubbles and a birthday card for me. Such a lovely touch. If you want to book a trip, i would suggest the boat trip to Rovinj. We booked ours with Tony on the beach and it worked out at about £55 for the 3 of us. It's a full day boat trip and you get lunch and wine included. The water taxi to Porec is great or you can get the little train for not much money. Porec is definitely a must see. You can also walk to Porec via the costal path which will take you about an hour. On a Tuesday evening they have a big screen on the beach where they play a movie and on a Thursday night they have a "Rock You" concern on the beach which ends in a fabulous fireworks display. Probably these will be coming to an end now though. I absolutely fell in love with Croatia and i cannot wait until we can visit again. Thank you Hotel Albatros for a fantastic holiday.

Lovely holiday in croatiaWe had a lovely holiday here. The hotel was clean and tidy. The room, although small, was also clean and great just for sleeping in. The food was delicious and plentiful with plenty of room to dine in. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five was because some of the coffee and bar staff really need a lesson in how to smile, a couple of them didnt smile at us all week, which is a shame. Lovely area to explore and not too far from porec town which is beautiful. We loved our stay and love Croatia.

Fantastic relaxing holidayWe had a double room which didn't have much of a view but that didn't really matter. We were here for ten days in June 2019 and enjoyed lots of laying around the pool and exploring the rocky coastline. It was beautiful, warm and enjoyable! The pools are lovely and plenty of sunbeds. Plenty of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner on all inclusive and drinks all day long! The buffet was varied but obviously after ten days it eventually gets repetitive but that is to be expected with all inc! We had a fantastic holiday here and would visit again. The hotel is in a fairly quiet location with a shop, few bars and restaurants around and a little market just a few minutes walk.
