    Fantastic valud for money

Stayed here for six nights in june 2013. The location of the hotel was great, just a short walk from the autobus which took you into town/to the station five mins away. The rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels provided each time. Breakfast was simple but for the money what you would expect. the best thing about this hotel were the owners who were extremely helpful and had relatively good english. They were happy to help with any queries. Overall a great little hotel run by friendly staff, the only downside was the slightly noisy rooms. Would stay here again if I visited Padova again

A very bad experience. I nobody advise this hotel!

I'm with my wife and young daughter were driving on the highway on vacation in Richone. It was about 8:00 pm and we decided to stay in Padova. Been looking for a WI FI (in Italy a big problem, because even at McDonald WI FI closed security code). Finally we found a free internet and booked a double room at the Hotel al Giardinetto. It was about 21:30 when we found this hotel (the daughter was already asleep) on the street was rain and wife went to check the room. After 2 minutes, she comes back and says that the hotel is open, but nobody at the reception and only the room key on the reception table. I went to check, and really is the key at the reception, a fax with my reservation from booking.com and phone for emergency calls. I called and I answered the woman (a little drunk). She said that the hotel is closed (I thought it was a joke, because the reservation confirmed 30 minutes ago) and went to check the room. The room was a mess and towels was dirty. Angered I returned to the car and told wife about it. While we were sitting in the car and thought what to do now and saw in this hotel for a some "movement." We were happy (because think that now we can get into the room and sleep), but it was not there! A woman and a tipsy guy started yelling at us and threaten to call the police. Especially aggressive was the guy he punched and threatened to send us home to our country (though probably did not even know where). I think he does not like foreigners peoples (but why he works in the hotel? Because the majority of customers in hotels foreigners). Very frustrated, tired and surprised we went further and therefore nothing good about this hotel can not say. NOBODY ADVISE THIS HOTEL!!!

    A nice small hotel

The hotel is easy to find and public transport to it from the station frequent. The room was , comfortable, a reasonable size with a clean functional ensuite, although there was some traffic noise in the morning from the square outside.Breakfast was a simple buffet with both savory and sweet foods offered and the coffee was good. The couple running the hotel were friendly , helpful and spoke english. The hotel is within walking distance of most of the city's attractions , there are several shops and restaurants near by including a very nice reasonably priced restaurant next door.

An experience not likely to be repeated

The hotel has an excellent, very central location, but I am afraid this is all I can recommend about it. We traveled in March and we froze in the rooms, there was no heating, although we asked the reception for it. The bathroom was old, not renovated, smelly and in a bad condition.
