Old style hotel but with amazing staff and excellent pricesI am always very scared when I book a 3-star accommodation facilities and I am travelling with my son and my husbad. Whatever we were forced to book this hotel as friends gifted us with a Smartbox and it was the only hotel avalable in the island with this giftvoucher. Eventually we were all amazed and delighted for what we get. Rooms are not refurbished and furnitures are really old, maybe 70s, we had a regular room with a king size and a bunk bed for the kid; the bathroom is more recent and simple, the tv is really really old and small, but we had a lovery small terrace with Capri view. They also offer a stunning solarim on the top floor with an amazing 360° view on the sea and the lush mountains. The hotels also has a small parking (we had our car) and a lovely termal pool fully equipped with sun umbrellas, sun loungers and some floats to relax in the wonderful hot thermal water. The pool is open round o clock. My son is literally gone crazy. Although the place is a bit far from everything, they have a shuttle linking with S Angelo, a place of extraordinary beauty. We went with our car to Maronti beach, a bit further, but really beautiful. A pleasant surprise was the dinner, the menus are simple and traditional for both dinner and breakfast, drinks are paid separately. The food is great and they have a really special attention for the kids, my son always got a custom menu like at home! The thing that completes the pleasant experience is the staff and the owner, really masters of hospitality. I do not remember a luxury hotel in Italy where staff were so courteous and prepared! We are thinking coming back next September because they offered us an awesome price.Excellent experience!

Comfortable, friendly, excellent value and good foodHotel al Bosco looks rather dated - 70s/80s - but it is clean, well-maintained and very comfortable. The staff are lovely and eager to please. I rendezvous'd with my wife and three grown-up kids there and spent four nights (they'd been there a week). The most unexpected thing about our stay was the hotel restaurant: the food was excellent. It is simple, traditional food, well-cooked and quite delicious. Every evening meal offers antipasto followed by a choice of two primo piatti and and a choice of two secondi, followed by a sweet course. The restricted choice is a good indication that the food is cooked fresh. Typical dinner is tomato, mozzarella and basil salad followed by pasta with tuna and zucchini, then grilled chicken with broccoli; finally panna cotta with fresh fruit. The price is ridiculously low. We ate out only once - we wanted pizza - otherwise, more than happy to eat at the hotel (as were most of the other guests, it seemed - the restaurant was always full). This is a family-sun hotel and, as I mentioned, the staff are lovely - polite, efficient and friendly. The rooms are pretty basic, but our bed was very comfortable and there is air-conditioning in all rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Just hope it doesn't become too popular and get spoiled!

Lovely hideawayWe stayed at Hotel Al Bosco and had a wonderful time. The hotel is really peaceful and the staff are lovely. Mikele does all he can for you and Loreta is very helpful too. The food is good but even though it seems like its very remote there are actually great restaurants just a couple of minutes away and the village of Panza is just 5 minutes on foot, The thermal pool is beautiful. We had a fabulous time and will return next year.
