good service, staff helpfullness to allow me check in earlier, convenientshuttle every hour during daytime is too few. excellent location, helpful staff. great comfort of the room and the bed specifically. They allowed us to do early check in at 9 am. They upgraded our room free of charge from Standard to a suite The area is full of many restaurants where you could enjoy lunch or dinner.

More Than Acceptable Incheon Airport OptionMy wife, daughters (ages 12 and 10) and I were delayed arriving at ICN and missed our connection. As a result, Asiana Airlines put us up in this hotel. I was bracing myself for an uncomfortable night, but Hotel Airstay exceeded my expectations. WHY YOU'D LIKE HOTEL AIRSTAY 1. Proximity to ICN. If you are arriving in the evening and connecting the following day, you want to have easy access to the airport. This hotel is makes getting to the airport the next morning a bit easier than staying in Central Seoul. 2. Good dinner options nearby. There are a few restaurants less than a block away. The are Korean restaurants but are used to dealing with foreigners. The experience is authentically Korean but not too exotic. In addition there are at least two convenience stores in the area where you can pick up beverages, snacks, or other necessities. 3. Clean, comfortable, newer hotel. The room we stayed in was extremely clean and the hallways and breakfast room were also very tidy. 4. Breakfast was pretty good. Breakfast consisted of french fries, fried rice, hard boiled eggs, kimchi, soup, bread, etc. 5. Two bottles of water in the refrigerator. 6. Inexpensive. We did not pay, but our stay would have been much less than KRW10,000. WHY YOU MAY NOT LIKE HOTEL AIRSTAY. These were not showstoppers in my book, but these items may be make your stay less comfortable. A. Very warm. Korean airplanes and hotels tend to be very warm. It may be difficult for you to sleep. B. Bed was super hard. There's no pillow top mattress, that's for sure. C. There's a communal hairbrush in the bathroom for you to use. D. Language barriers with the staff. One other thing to note - the shuttle to ICN runs every hour at the top of the hour. If you want to go at another time, you may be able to get the staff to take you there, but you may run into some resistance.

Terrible serviceWe arrived at the hotel at midnight after a flight. We'd just come from our honeymoon in Vietnam and just needed to stay somewhere for a good night's sleep before we went home the next day. We'd actually stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it seemed fine so we didn't have any worries, however when we got to the room my wife noticed a stain on the bottom of the pillow. We called reception and they changed it, so we just thought we'd let it go because we were tired. It was then we noticed there was a loud buzzing noise in the room that we couldn't locate. It was just annoying enough that we couldn't ignore it. When we asked to change rooms the staff said there weren't any available, with little to no apology. He said he'd accept our cancellation and we could find somewhere else, but did nothing to help us find a new hotel, keeping in mind it was one in the morning. In fact he said we probably wouldn't be able to find one in the area, probably trying to convince us to accept the room that we couldn't sleep in. Anyway the main issue here was his attitude. They obviously didn't check the room was suitable before and he acted like it wasn't his problem after were complained. Avoid.

Clean hotel with a limited comfort sufficient for a transit stayThe Airstay Hotel Incheon Airport is one of many small transit hotels near to Incheon Airport. An entire district with hotels, restaurants, convenience stores, massage parlors and night clubs lives in majority of transit guests. Upon arrival in the early evening the pickup service with the free shuttle was not available. The taxi ride costs USD 12.-. The shuttle bus runs every hour in the morning. At arrival at the hotel I was handed out a plastic purse containing a razor, soap and toothbrush. The receptionist did not speak any English. He made me understand that without immediate payment the room key was not given. The invoice was established only in Korean. The Airstay hotel offers simple, clean rooms. The comfort is limited to the essential with beds but not chair or desk. A refrigerator is there. The free WiFi worked perfectly. The room and the bathroom were perfectly clean, but actually all hotels in Korea are always perfectly clean. Although at the time of booking, it was specified that a breakfast against a charge is available, this was unfortunately not the case. 07.30 AM the restaurant was completely empty and with only the cleaning lady present. There are a lot of restaurants nearby that are specialized in Korean BBQ. In none of them I could find an English menu card. The restaurants close at 10.00 PM. A Lotte supermarket is in 10 minutes walking distance, as well as the railway station with trains to Seoul. The ride to the airport takes about 10-15 minutes.

Nice hotel while in transitUpon arrival at Incheon, we went to the Information Counter at the airport and the lovely lass on the desk called the hotel on our behalf to arrange shuttle transportation. Lucky for us, the shuttle was picking up another group at the time, and we just had to zip upstairs to Level 3, Door 7 to join this group. The trip to the hotel was fairly quick. Check-in was a breeze; I gave the receptionist my name and he handed me a keycard and a packet of toiletries (toothbrushes, razor, etc.). The room had a faint cigarette smoke smell upon entering, but this dissipated once we turned on the air-conditioning. We had elected to get the suite, since it wasn't much more than the standard room. The bathroom was fairly big, with large shower cubicle, deluxe toilet (with warming/rinsing/drying functions), adequate counter space and a jacuzzi tub (which we didn't get around to using). The lounge room was sparsely furnished, but adequate for our needs. The bed was huge, but on the hard side (like most Asian beds). Air-con was very good. The large flat-screen TV had only Asian channels as far as I can tell (some very funny shopping channels). Plenty of restaurants nearby. Check-out was as quick as check-in. We reserved the shuttle back to the airport when we checked-in.
