An average hotel in a beautiful setting. This hotel with balconies overlooking Lago Scanno and surrounding mountains is well located, but without many frills. There is nothing plush or luxurious, but it is clean with a comfortable bed. The staff is friendly.

Lakeside retreat with old style service. Lovely!!Some of the most beautiful biking roads in the country are around the Scanno lake region. This hotel is on the side of the lake and the rooms have wonderful views. The hotel is old style and with great friendly service, functional without frills. The room was clean and with a small balcony, double bed and clean bathroom. Dinner and breakfast were both very good and tasty, simple and not expensive. And the lady owner works hard around the hotel at the ripe old age of 82!! Great friendly service!!!

Excellent stay! Fabio and his family treated us like we were old friends!Beautiful area combined with a host that made us feel like we were family. Fabio and his family were simply fantastic and the food in the hotel was superior. We will definitely return! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Felt like home the moment we arrivedWe traveled to Scanno for XTERRA Italy in 2014. We chose this hotel because it was so close to the race compound and transition area. The moment we arrived Fabio greeted us with a warm welcome and quickly got us to our room. We had just flown into Rome and driven many hours, so we were ready to relax. During the rest of the stay, Fabio and the rest of the staff treated us like very special guests and I noticed this same attitude toward other guests. The location is unbeatable, only steps from the lake. At night the building is so quiet, allowing for amazing rest. The lake is easy to walk, run, or rent a bike and ride around. Access to the town is easy by car and is walkable, but a long uphill walk. There are a few restaurants within reasonable walking distance, including food in the hotel. The breakfast selection was fantastic every morning. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Scanno. The experience made the beginning of our vacation unforgettable. Thanks Fabio!

Superb location - absolutley wonderful setting.....We stayed here for 2 nights during June 2016 as part of a self drive "Tour" of centeral Italy. The hotels location adjacent to the lovley little lake is smashing. Both mornings we opened the curtains and were just mesmerised by the gorgeous view of the lake and the mountains. Granted it is a bit out of Scanno, but we drove in one day and hiked up the next (Nothing too strenuous to be honest). Itwas out of main season and there was plenty of parking in the town if you did drive up. The Hotel has lots of free parking as well. Its a very very pleasant 45 min stroll around the lake - really relaxing. Other reviewers have described the welcome asif it was your favourite uncle or whatever meeting you. With us it was that uncle you borrowed the lawnmower off and forgot to return it ages ago - kind of polite and efficient but little lese. Almost asif we had interupted a family get together in the lobby. There was a little oldish lady who was v v helpful but with very limited English but lovley. The room was fine - comfortable enough and the wifi worked brilliantly throughout. Breakfast was nice - usual continental breakfast layout but a reasonable choice of it and some v nice cakey things. Not sure what the bar / restauraunt was like of an evening - they never mentioned if / when it was due to open or if it did so we went elsewhere (We think it was open in the evening as another group were in there when we returned - but they may have been the Family who run the place ot sure). We will look back on our stay here with great affection - for the location and the views.
