  Winter holiday

  Nice hotel with absolutely fantastic and very cooperative staff. And their Onsen is marvelous. They could arrange whatever we asked them about. Large rooms but small bathrooms. Would love to visit them again!

  White wonderland

  Absolutely amazing. Friendliest staff that got out of their way to help and accomodate. Staff work longs hours and are still always so smiley and happy to help. Beautiful indoor and outdoor Onsens thats been recently built. Great food. Great location has a small cat track straight to the slopes, short walk to the slopes or they do drop offs and pick ups. They even take a polaroid if you and put it on a board that you can write a message on. I think its a very sweet touch. All in all I would highly recommend this place! Would stay here again next time I come.

  Convenient, charming and clean

  We took a family ski vacation over the New Year holiday and stayed at this hotel. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The location is just a few minutes walk from the Hakuba Goryu Ski Area and there are several casual restaurants ski rental shops close to the hotel. There is a ski locker area in the hotel which is nice to have. Our room was clean and good for a family, but guests should be aware that the shower/bath is the common hotel onsen bath room. Our room did not have a shower and the toilet was in a space so small that we found it more comfortable to use the hallway restrooms. This was fine for us but guests should be aware of this arrangement. The breakfast was light but fine for us. I would stay here again although not at peak season as the pricing was quite high.

  Family holiday in a winter wonderland

  The hotel is neat and clean and well located although the walk up/down the hill on an icy night can be challenging. Without a doubt the greatest asset of this hotel are the staff. All of the usual superlatives can be used. Helpful, happy, charming, efficient and any other positive you can think of.

  Excellent hotel in Wadano. Fantastic Onsen.

  We had a great week staying at Hotel Abest. It is a mid-sized family-run hotel at the top of Wadano. The rooms were quite spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms were pretty small, through. The highlight was the Onsen which was a great way to relax after a day skiing. It was great to sit there in the outdoor and indoor hot tubs looking out onto the snow. The staff were always friendly and happy. Breakfast was a hearty continental spread. Yuikas friendly laugh was a highlight at breakfast time! The hotel ran a morning and afternoon minivan shuttle to the ski field at Happo-One about 2 mins drive away - or about 7 mins if you want to walk. Also, the shuttle to Hakuba 47 resort leaves from their driveway, too. Highly recommended. Thanks.
