    Very bad place

    Very bad attitude of the staff. Their sad faces put you out of the mood. They didnt even reply to hello when i reached the hotel. Cannot even be called hotel is more like a pension. There is a bad old smell in the building and the breaksfast is really poor. If they will not have clients from Crestron they will be broke. To bad they ruin Crestron reputation.

    was very excited to see that this hotel was in the countryside it's a lovely location however we felt a little let down Check in was good and our room was large and airy. our only issue was the lack of tea and coffee facilities...we were sad to find that after 9.30pm we couldn't get a hot drink...pretty bad really...the restaurant closed at 9.30pm too so no room service or anything after this time. so what are you meant to do ???? breakfast was odd....everything seemed to be in the wrong place...maybe it was just us but we didn't find it a nice atmosphere and every one seemed a bit miserable.. also there was not much choice of anything we wouldn't stay again because of the lack of of facilities

    One night stop over.

    We arrived at the hotel mid afternoon and were quickly checked into our room. Efficient polite gentleman on reception who thankfully spoke good English. We were checked into room 12. The upstairs corner room was perfect. Very spacious. Good sized firm bed. Lovely bathroom. The room was spotlessly clean. The room was well lit as it had windows on two sides. The hotel is in a relatively quiet suburban area, set back from the main road in its own grounds. Surrounded by trees. Quite peaceful. The hotel has its own off road car parking which is more than ample. Also it is free. We did not have an evening meal at the hotel as we were visiting relatives. Breakfast in the morning was good. Bear in mind it is a relatively small hotel. We were very happy with the buffet style help yourself style. Whilst the selections were small compared to larger hotels, we were very happy with what was provided, and it set us up for the day. The hotel is on the outskirts of Mechelen, which is a beautiful town. We were very happy with our stay, and would be happy to return. We are also very happy to recommend the hotel to other travellers.

    Reasonably OK

    The hotel is located on a main road outside village Bonheiden, but ~ 15 minutes drive from Mechelen. It is listed as 4 star, but I would rank it more like 3 star or 3 star superior. The mail receptionist may not be the most welcoming, but provided enough service. The rooms are quiet large and clean, the beds comfy. Bathroom clean with separate toilet. Free WIFI fast. The location is fairly quiet, but still on a main road. There is a restaurant and terrace, although on the Tuesday of arrival the restaurant opened only in the evening. Breakfast was fine, but again to me more 3 star (superior). The hotel is better priced than most accommodation closer to Mechelen. Although satisfactory, I found it a bit disappointing.

    VERY DISAPPOINTED ATTITUDE OF A NON-PROFESSIONAL HOTELIER

    we booked a twin room at the hotel one week earlier. we arrived at the hotel around 1.00pm last week Tuesday June 09, 2020 as the son of our best friends had to undergo a surgeon operation in Vilvoorde. to our big surprise we discovered an empty parking, not 1 car on the big parking area, the restaurant was closed, the hotel was closed. finally we decided to ring the hotel with our handy as there was no answer when we rang at the doorbell. suddenly a gentleman appeared (we think ) it was the owner as there was no staff! we checked in and left the room after 5 min. as it was late and time for lunch, so we drove to Mechelen as the hotel restaurant was closed. during our lunch we received a message from the hospital that the son of our friends would not be operated today as he had fever. we drove straight to the hospital to pick up the unlucky Matteo. it was about 3.30 pm we called the hotel and asked the hotelier to cancel the room for "force majeure". we suggested (as we didn't occupy the room + we didn't have breakfast) to have a voucher for the value of our stay, voucher that we would use for our next stay + CERTAINLY spend more money in the restaurant + bar (if open!!) this was refused by the hotelier who suggested to pay the room and have a 47.50 EUR discount on a future reservation. without any doubt I would understand this attitude if the hotel would have been fully booked but not when the hotel is totally empty!!! seriously we were the only guests. result of this unprofessional and NON-commercial attitude = unhappy guests who will never come back + who will never be ambassadors for this hotel.
