Pretty straightforward hotelLocated in the main road between Medan and Lake Toba, this hotel offers a pretty straightforward amenities. I stayed for business trip just for one night. Check in process was so breezy and easy. Good and decent breakfast, room is clean enough, but wifi is not really good. In front of the building, you can find great restaurant, famous for their fried crispy bird, worth to try.

One of the best hotel in the townI stayed in this hotel few days ago for family holiday. The location is quite far from the city center but it is easy to find ride sharing transportation there. The check in is fast and the service throughout our stay is good. The room is large and quite clean. The shower has good temperature and heating. The breakfast served was quite nice and vary by day. Overall it is very good hotel for stay in this city.

Friendly StaffThe staff are incredibly friendly and try very hard. Hotel needs some minor things fixed or replaced though. Towels are very old and need replacing, walls are very marked up in the room. Hot water takes forever. We called for repair and he had to run the water for 15 minutes to get Luke warm. After he left it got hot about 10 minutes later. And the internet is very annoying. Hardly works. The restaurant music is elevator music and its just one song on a loop which gets very tiring. Also no knives for spreading butter of spreads, only spoons. And all the tea and coffee cups are stained. And the gym is actually a really good gym, even when compared to a lot of hotels in North America. Except the air conditioning is on minimum in there. But as I said earlier the staff are amazing and Martha in the restaurant speaks very good English.

Disappointing...We stayed for two nights. When we arrived it was late evening and we were very tired. Lots of plate glass everywhere and an impressive lobby but, although we could be seen by the staff at reception, struggling up the stairs to the lobby, no bellboy was sent to help us. After checking in (we had booked and paid in advance) and asking for someone to bring our luggage to the room, then a bellboy came forward. The room was unimpressive with inadequate lighting, ballpen marks on the sheet, a broken kettle, shocking holes in the bathroom wall, and an ancient aircon which we couldn't figure how to operate as there was no remote, just a panel in the wall. Breakfast the next morning was another disappointment. The pineapple and papaya were unripe, the "French toast" was anything but. We spent the whole day out and only returned to sleep the night, skipped breakfast and checked out by 9.00 am. One of my worst experiences in a hotel!
