The worst accommodation experience EVER!DO NOT STAY HERE. I had nothing but problems my whole 1 day there. I was supposed to stay for 3 nights but ended up checking out after 1 because I could not stay there anymore. Check-in procedure is AWFUL. There is no reception on site, it's all over the phone (which they don't explain in the booking process). I called to check-in, they said they would text me instructions on how to check-in. I waited over an hour and called again, to which another person said "Oh, it looks like the text was never sent". He sent it again, and I waited another 30 minutes to finally check in. Had to wait 10-15 minutes every time I needed to use the elevators. There were 2 small elevators and only 1 was ever working at a time (could fit 2-3 people max at a time). My booking said I had a 'city view'. I arrived and was overlooking a public carpark. The aircon in the room didn't reach into the bedroom, which made it feel like I was sleeping in a sauna. I ended up sleeping on the lounge in the loungeroom in order to feel the aircon. The room looks very poorly taken care of. Run down furniture, dirty walls. It is nothing like the "executive apartment" they advertise it as. The booking says 24 hour reception, however the phone message says office hours are only 8am-8pm. I would have checked out on my first night if I could have spoken with the "24-hour" reception. Called to cancel and the person I spoke to was incredibly rude. I asked if I could speak with management to get a refund, to which she said "you won't be getting a refund". Just an absolutely awful experience from check-in to check-out, I will never be staying again! Do not make the same mistake I did.

Do not stay here!Worst check in procedure I have ever experienced. No instructions given with booking. The front door was locked and no staff. I called the hotel to be told they would text me instructions to collect the key from a letterbox. Called a second time and they texted a different number. Called a third time to be finally sent a text. Whole process took 90 minutes. I got a cold from waiting in the rain. Also paid $20 per night for parking, although advertised as free parking. Apartment kitchen and bathroom was dirty. Carpet unclean. No kitchen utensils to cook with. Underwear was left in the washing machine and beside it. Stayed in room 407. Could not go outside to access the gym and pool because I needed another code, which was not sent to me. It is supposed to be texted everyday. You had to either phone for the code to be texted (which means you have to take your phone swimming) or hope that someone would be coming out to let you in. These facilities should not be advertised if you cannot use them freely. Do not stay here unless you can memorize 3 sets of 6 digit numbers and you are happy for zero customer service and a dirty room.

Disgusted!DO NOT STAY HERE! The only positive- location was fantastic for night life. Firslty, the check in process was terrible. There is no signage for Honeysuckle and instead the hotel is under the name Chifley which we were not informed about. We payed an additional parking fee to be directed to a car park with barely any free space. There was about 10 codes given to us in which multiple codes failed to work upon entry. As young females staying here, being locked out of our accomodation late at night felt extremely unsafe. Communication was non existent and rude. I appreciate the contactless checkin due to covid although staff should have gone the extra mile to make this an easy process. On the note of covid, the cleaning was disgusting if not non existent. The hotel was so dirty that we felt unhygienic walking around or showering without thongs on. There was so much dust that my allergies and ashma were terrible. We were unable to use the sofa bed as it was covered in crumbs. As a result one of us had to sleep on the lounge with no blanket. There were cockroaches crawling all over the kitchen bench. There were cigarette butts left in the ash tray from the last guests. The biggest issue is that we booked for 3 people but only were catered for 2 with one double bed and two towels. There were no hand towels and no bath mat. We called multiple times for assistance with no care given. This created a slip hazard and water through the entire apartment. There was also no kettle dispite there being coffee and milk. Finally, we felt EXTREAMLEY UNSAFE. The door cannot be locked from inside and there was no emergency contact information. We were so scared that we struggled to sleep. We do not recommend to anyone on this basis, especially solo female travellers! Despite the negatives, we were very pleased with the location of the hotel and hope that this feedback can be used as constructive criticism. Regardless, we had a great weekend away.

Executive in name onlyIf possible, find somewhere else to stay in Newcastle. Check in is basically self service with codes..forget about any reception assistance. The Executive Room while spacious, was awful. The glass was filthy, the floor was dirty and the built in wardrobe sliding door is broken!! It was the only place available at a decent price close to the popular spots..not a pleasant stay or experience. Covid is not an excuse!!

Disappointed & facelessBooked here for convenience to places we had plans to visit. Unfortunately there were no staff at reception. Everything is sorted off site and internet lagging with transfer of information. No hotel name, only as 'Chifley' and cleaning & domestic staff looked stressed. We asked for towels on arrival and the cleaner we approached almost had a meltdown. She went on to tell us x2 cleaners had just quit and started crying.. found blood stains on the under side of the doona. Generally cleanliness ordinary. Difficult to find, a code for the front door, a code for the room, a code for the basement parking - all different. All round unhappy vibe. Positives are close to shops and restaurants & reasonable price.. Would not recommend
