  Excelente opción de alojamiento

  Después de un recorrido por Washington, sabía que no seria suficiente con 1 día por lo cual requeriria de un segundo día, pero los hoteles en Washington son demasiado costosos y nuestro grupo requería de 2 habitaciones o de una suite familiar con 2 cuartos. El Homewood Suites en Leesburg me ofrecía una buena tarifa y en carro no era obstaculo a pesar de estar casi 45 min alejado de Washington. Considerando que uno de mis objetivos era la visita al Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, no me arrepiento de haberlo escogido, buena atencion, buenos cuartos, buen desayuno, buenas instalaciones, lugar tranquilo. Inclusive enfrente del Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets en el cual realicé buenas compras.

  Great customer service

  My family stayed here this past Friday, and this place is really trying to get back to normal. Im a business traveler, and have literally lived in hotels continually for the last year, and 50/50 for the previous four. In California, its difficult to get a bagel or yogurt handed to you with rubber gloves through a slot in the plastic wall. Here I can sit down at a table (appropriately spaced) and eat sausage and eggs (hot), handed to me by an employee, whose job is to hand customers their breakfast. Its really that simple. Soooooooooo many hotels are trying to figure out how to never serve hot breakfast to travelers, and still charge the same price. When Im in town this next year for work, this is where Ill stay. Thank you so much to the management

  Nice Hotel--- In door Pool Next Door...

  Comfortable little suites, with a nice open lobby area for breakfast. Due to COVID, there is No self-serve--- and the portions directly served are comparable to what you would find at the Hampton inn, next door. And you should probably drive next door to the Hampton Inn, if you want a nice little indoor pool--- cause the Homewood's outdoor pool is closed for the season. The hotel noted the La Perla (Central American) Restaurant next door, But I would NOT recommend it. Had to use Google Translate, since my Spanish is poor--- and the Rotisserie Chicken was actually a bit dry and chewy...

  AVOID DURING COVID

  My husband and I chose Homewood Suites for an anniversary trip to Leesburg because of the ratings on trip advisor and booking.com. The Homewood Suites had high marks for cleanliness which was a plus in our book during Covid. After we checked in, we noticed all the rooms were sealed with a blue sticker saying the room was cleaned and sanitized. As such, we had high hopes for our room. However, when we walked into our room, we were greeted with the horrendous smell of overripe garbage. We were hoping it was just a fluke and that we walked past something that got stuck in our masks so we gave the room the benefit of the doubt and left for dinner after dropping off our bags. When we returned the garbage smell was overwhelming and so I went in search of the stench. Well, to our surprise, there was garbage under the sink from the previous guests and it stunk. There was definitely food that went rotten. My husband went down to the front desk and told the front desk person that there was garbage left in our room. SHE TOLD US TO TAKE THE GARBAGE OUT OURSELVES AND LEAVE IT AT OUR DOOR. Ordinarily, that would be disgusting but during Covid, it made us question if our room was actually given a good cleaning or just a surface dusting between stays. My husband was given no gloves and no other options then take the trash out himself. When we were checking out, I informed the manager what happened and her response was astounding. She said, "Well, wasn't your room clean otherwise" and "sorry we didnt meet your expecations" and "staff arent allowed into rooms during covid". At the very least, to rectify the situation. We should have been given gloves to take out someone else's trash, or had us move rooms since ours wasnt properly cleaned the first time. They clearly had unhooked rooms based on the stickers. On top of that, upon checkout, there were 2 child flag football teams that were staying in the hotel. They were in the lobby when we went down for breakfast. Not a single maks was worn, children were left unattended and running around. The front desk staff were talking to the guests but were not enforcing masks, especially around the food. We were thoroughly grossed out and decided to get breakfast elsewhere. The utter lack of caring by both the manager and front desk staff was astounding. They disregarded for cleanliness, enforcement of masks and social distancing makes me think there are other areas of the hotel that are not safe during Covid. Do yourself a favor and find another cleaner hotel where the staff actually care about guest health and wellbeing. Giving the hotel a 2 because the room was nice and they offer free parking, breakfast and convenient to leesburg.

  Management Issues

  As a Hilton Diamond member I have high regard for Hilton properties and usually am very happy with the properties. Everything about dealing with this hotel has been difficult. We contracted for a wedding stay for guests at the hotel and the link to sign up was not working for weeks and we asked for an extension for guest sign up due to their problem, we were denied. The Bride showed up at the hotel at 1300 and was bluntly told check in is at 1600, even though we coordinated an early check in with the manager. After debating for 15 minutes, another manager emerged and there were plenty of rooms ready for check in. Requested a one hour late check out as we told "we will see if we can do that" and then had calls to my room all morning to leave. One guest had $35 of snacks charged to the room when he was not even there. The rooms and facility were fine but the management of the facility seems to be a mess. Would suggest another property, maybe the Hampton Inn next door.
