Más o menosEs un hotel nuevo, muy espacioso. Somos 5 miembros de familia. Así que es muy espacioso, esta a 10 minutos del centro de New Orleans. Pero, llegamos por la noche. Después de estar ausentes todo el día. Y nos encontramos con que no asearon la habitación. Veníamos ya muy cansados como para todavía esperar a las 11 pm vinieran a asearla. O sea mejor piensen si vale la pena llegar aquí.

Would rather sleep in a tent.Quick review. First off we are a couple that is very easy to deal with. I will just set this up with what we experienced, Overall, the hotel and rooms are great and clean, its a great location for a cruise, We parked at the hotel and did uber to the port, which was $10.00. When we arrived the person checking us in was on her phone, we waited and finally she helped us, We told her we wanted to use a different card for the stay then what we used to reserve the room, We have done this many times with hotels on our travels and never had a issue. We finally got our room and I checked my CC account and they charged the wrong room no big deal right???? I called down and asked her very nicely to make sure they charged he right card.. She put me on hold for exactly 13 minutes then told me she would call me back because she had a huge line in front of her. So I got out of bed, got dressed and went down, 1 GUY WAS IN LINE FOR TOWELS, She was on her phone again. once she got off the guy asked her for towels because they didn't have any, she asked him, did you have your Do Not Disturb sign out around 9am that morning, he stated no, that he was there for work and was gone, she stated, he must be wrong because they did all the rooms and followed that up by telling him, he can only get the big towels because they are out of the regular towels. terrible service at this point and gets worse. When i got up to her, I told her I was there to figure out the bill. She said she was swamped and was on the phone with her manager, after watching her to try and change the card with the look on her face like she never worked on a computer before, she said to change the charge I would ned to speak with the manager. I asked when the manager would be in and she said Monday, I stated we are leaving on a cruise the next day (Sunday) and would not be able to call until we returned but asked her to cal the manager since she said she was on the phone with the manager when I was standing there. She stated she could not call the manager for billing questions. Anyway the wrong card was charged. The next morning we went down for breakfast about 8am and there was maybe 10 people there with room for may more, no eggs, no juice and no coffee. 10 people eating with room for 50 people and you know a cruise is going out but didn't think it would be busy on a Sunday morning. we ended up going to McDonalds to eat breakfast after waiting over 10 minutes for them to bring out food. Good stayThis property was in a good location, and close to the Port of New Orleans. Our suite was clean, comfortable, and had all the conviences of home, as well as a friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be staying here the next time im in New Orleans.

serviceThey refused to clean the room. It was like pulling teeth to get clean towels. They said they couldn't clean the room due to covid but I seen them clean the room for others. I wil not book at this Gretna location ever again. I never had an issue with Homewood suits until now. I do understand about covid but I asked for my room to get cleaned after I left the room but you cleaned others rooms with guest in the room.

DisgustingExtremely filthy! There was a live COCKROACH in our room! Room also had lipstick and makeup smeared everywhere and clearly wasnt cleaned upon arrival. Housekeeping services werent available due to Covid restrictions and they did not make it easy to exchange dirty towels for clean. Tried contacting management multiple times about horrible experience but didnt receive any returned phone call or email. I will make sure to tell everyone I know NOT to stay at this hotel!!- The single star goes to the friendly front desk staff. Those girls need more support from housekeeping and management.
