  Great experience

  I have stayed at the Homewood Suites in Southington many times and it is always clean, well run and the staff is very friendly. The complimentary happy hour is outstanding. The variety of food and drink is terrific!

  Unsatisfied

  We werent asked for ID after asking for an additional room key. We were never at front desk since I used digital key. Rude staff when we asked for hot coffee while we were with friends at pool. Loud even after 10pm

  Pool was open and they offered a breakfast bag in lei of the normal buffet breakfast which was great. The rooms were very clean and Covid controlled. The front desk was very helpful and courteous. Easy access from RT 95 North and South.

  Nice one

  Nice big Homewood Suites not too far away from the highway. Clean, nice rooms. Your typical Homewood Suites. Good procedures in place for COVID as far as I can tell. Breakfast bag instead of breakfast buffet. I wished they had hand sanitizers by the elevators.

  6 weeks to many at the Homewood Suites

  I stayed here as I was moving to CT and needed a temporary place to stay while I start my job and look for an apartment. Giving it 3 stars may not be fair, but 4 stars is too many. The hotel is not up to Hilton standards. Lets just get all of the issues out of the way first. They tout this "Clean Pledge" with Lysol and this 13 step process they use. Housekeeping here is awful. Everytime they "cleaned" my room, it wasn't done well. The toilet always smelled, as it had this brown grime around the upper ring. I had to ask them to come and clean it deeper, and even then, still not 100% clean. I'd find the sink was never wiped down, you can still see debris on the carpet, small hairs in the sink and on top of the toilet etc... They would NEVER replace my kitchen towels, ever. I ALWAYS had to ask for them. I always reported the issue and it was never addressed. The 1st floor hallway where the pool/gym is is ALWAYS wet. Might as well cement those "Wet Floor" signs to the tile. The laundry room is a joke. 1 machine was down my entire 6 week stay, another dryer down for 3 weeks. The table to fold your clothes was falling out of the wall. The guest computers were terrible. The PC was marked as "not setup" and the iMac was TERRIBLY slow. Might as well call dial up fast. I eventually just sent my print jobs to the front desk. The WiFi here kicks you off every 24 hours, so I had to sign back in multiple times a day for multiple devices. Watching a show? I hope that the WiFi doesnt expire during it. Working? You'll be kicked off that laptop at the 24 hr mark. WiFi only got to 3mbps down, so using VPN for work was brutal. The brown bag breakfast was mehhh.... Always an apple and yogurt, usually a muffin and a granola bar. Get use to it. Lastly, the hotel was often "romper room" with kids running up and down the hallways. I can set my watch to the family of 50 coming down the hall with their crying kid and the other kid screaming and flopping on the floor. The living area was DARK, only had 1 small lamp on a table with a HUGE gap next to the TV of nothing. Why not another lamp? The toaster oven has no tray. So are we just expected to place all food items on the grill thing and let it drop and sag and fall into the appliance? TV lineup was weak, 0 sports channels outside of ESPN. But I could often watch kids playing basketball outside my window at 1am. The good? Well the bed was comfy, the shower had AMAZING pressure and hot hot water, and the front desk female only staff was very friendly, welcoming and engaging. About the only thing they got going for this place. Overall, I would try the Marriott down the street next time I need an extended stay. If this was a lower brand extended stay, some of this would of been passable, but its a Hilton, and at $120 a night, people should expect better.
