  Favorite hotel in Shreveport Bossier area!

  I stay at this hotel frequently! Each time I come back after several months, I am always welcomed "home"! The management and staff here are the best! It is so nice to see the same smiling faces, when I return to this hotel. Nice, clean, spacious rooms with all the comforts of home.

  Wish it was a longer stay

  We wish we could have stayed longer. We stopped in Bossier City on our way to Mississippi to break up our trip. We realized we left our pack n play crib at home, and we had one waiting for us by the time we got to our room.

  Substandard for chain

  This is the 5th Homewood Suites Ive stayed in over the years, including the one across the river in Shreveport, and this one does not meet the quality standard Im used to from them. Typically, they are immaculate. This one was not. Major surfaces in room were clean, but devil was in the details. I dont look for dirt, so if it jumps out at me, its pretty bad. And while they may have staffing shortages due to the pandemic, the degree of dirtiness I found was not excused by that. Pros: Friendly staff; comfortable bed; well-appointed kitchenette, including Keurig with choice of coffees and tea; fresh-smelling linens, towels; walk-in shower; good water pressure; plenty of hot water; large TVs with lots of channels; good location right off of Interstate; restaurant food was good (to-go orders only). Cons: had to ask for bottled water (Honors member); clerk did not explain food situation, breakfast hours, or housekeeping delays; clerks were not wearing masks but did have a plastic shield between them and guests; cook and order taker were not wearing masks while handling food (pretty sure La. law requires that right now); corners of bathroom were dirty; floor next to bedroom tv stand had fur on it; fan above bed was so dirty, I couldnt use it (literally months of caked-on dust); one pillow case had either large makeup smear or stain on it (tossed on floor, didnt use); tv remote in living room had caked on dirt that I didnt notice until after my grandchild picked it up (we had JUST washed her hands, so dont go there I sanitized both remotes after I noticed); housekeeping didnt clean room second day when I returned from being out for 3 hours, front desk said they each have 28 rooms to clean, but even when at 4pm one was in the room next to mine, she never knocked or asked if I wanted mine cleaned, had to get extra hand towels from front desk; globe on light in bathroom was broken but bulb worked fine; shelves under sink had dust so thick you could right in it; fridge had a few crumbs still in it but was otherwise clean; called front desk at 9:05pm the first night to have someone could view the dirt no one answered.

  The covid policy they post here isnt followed.

  I cancelled multiple upcoming stays at this hotel out of concern for my own safety. During the entire 20 day stay the restaurant staff were allowed to not wear masks while bar tending and serving food. Draw your own conclusions considering we are in a worsening epidemic.

  Angels exist here

  Angels truly exist and I met 2. The passion and knowledge displayed by Nysheka Herring was a breath of fresh air especially in these days where customer service is a lost art. Then the warm welcome that I received from Carvett Brossett made me feel like I was home away from home. My room was just what they said it would be. These angels are a true blessing to the industry, Hilton and especially Homewood Suits in Shreveport Jolivette
