  Spotless

  This hotel feels brand new and is truly spotless. Staff could not have been more helpful. Fitness room was small but perfectly adequate with some free-weights and machines. We stayed here for a kids sporting event near Raleigh which was 15 minutes away so it was reasonably convenient. Outdoor pool wasn't yet open. Overall, highly recommended!

  Still 1 of my favs since it opened

  Currently staying in the Homewood this weekend. Due to Covid-19 there are a few changes, but the huge rooms and customer service is still excellent. All of their normal perks are haulted due to th virus. They do have complimentary coffee in the lobby, and bagged breakfast bags to grab and go.

  I thought I had submitted a review but, it never appeared so I am going to try again. I very rarely ever write a bad review but, I feel I need to write one today. We had booked a king suite thru Priceline (we have used Priceline for years without any issues) When I went to check in The woman at the front desk commented that my reservation was thru priceline. She then told me our room was ready and that it was a standard room. I informed her we had booked a king suite and she replied that Priceline had booked a standard room and that they (Priceline) lie!! She then said it would be another $15 to upgrade to a suite! We went ahead and did that and then once we got to the room it was a queen suite. I also found my priceline receipt and went back to the unpleasant woman and showed her the receipt that clearly stated King Suite. I asked her to remove the $15 charge and to give us the room we booked. She took a long time looking at her computer as more people were coming and standing in line behind me. After 5 minutes of "looking" she gave us another room. It was as if we were being penalized for using Priceline to book our room. We are aware that things are different with Covid 19 but, the breakfast is a joke. Choices were yogurt, 2 kids of dry cereal and juice and coffee. Not much effort shown!

  New and comfortable

  My wife and stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Raleigh Cary for one night during a recent road trip, and it was really nice. The room was attractive and looked new, with a full kitchen (which we didn't need). The bed was comfortable. There's no door to the bathroom (the toilet and shower are in a separate room with a door). The hotel staff was friendly. They had the usual COVID-19 procedures in place. All staff and guests were required to wear masks, social distancing in the elevators and other public spaces, housekeeping service by request only, and individually wrapped grab and go breakfast options in the morning (the selection was limited but decent). There's a Tesla destination charger at the hotel, which I didn't know about until we arrived. We had already charged at a Tesla supercharger in Raleigh on our way to the hotel. If we stay in this area again, we will definitely return to this hotel.

  Always seems to be good

  I tend to like the Homewood Suites line of hotels- this one was no exception...king studio suite for just a one night stop over. Check in and out were smooth.. although there was no discussion about amenities etc. it didnt matter to me since this was just a place to sleep tonight. Room was nicely laid out and very clean. Looks like pictures- bed couch small dining table & kitchenette. Clean sticker on the door & remote - dishes in the dishwasher also clean. Bathroom for my room was a shower only - and the sink is in the room itself in front of the closet. Realize this is during COVID but found the breakfast a bit lacking... they did have Canadian bacon and egg biscuits or just egg & cheese biscuits available- but they were sitting in their wrappers in a warming dish ... kinda soggy (from sitting & steaming in the wrapper ) and tasteless.. would have preferred they were left cold & I had the option to heat in my room myself (all rooms have a microwave after all..) 2 cereal choices pre-portioned into cups.. milk and juice already also in cups but no water (did provide bottles when I asked) Odd that they will let you dispense your own coffee - but they took out the juice / water machine and milk jugs ... yogurt, a scone, oatmeal and fruit also available so there are some options. Hotel is only a bit off the highway (GPS took us thru several turns - but its really only a few miles from the interstate exit) and super close to a lot of shopping centers if you need anything . Its also only about 10-15 minutes from downtown Raleigh (we hopped into town to visit the museums before heading home) Would definitely recommend to folks needing to go to Raleigh as opposed to staying in any of the (more expensive and older) hotels directly in town.
