  Hotel altamente satisfactorio

  Estuvimos 7 noches durante la World Dairy Expo y nos hospedamos en este HOMEWOOD La habitación muy buena, grande como todos los homewood Buena cocina, lindo baño aunque tenía un poco de olor a humedad, pero insignificante. La limpieza perfecta, el desayuno tipo autoservicio, rico. Se esxtrañaba igualmente el jamón y el queso de Uruguay. Lo raro es que en esos días el hotel estaba casi lleno, y las mesas para el desayuno eran insuficientes. Front desk perfecto, sin problemas No sabía que tenía derecho a una 5ta noche gratis según mi categoría de hhonnors, estuve 7 noches. Nadie pudo resolver eso en el momento El resto impecable Volvería

  Another Fabulous Stay.

  I am so impressed with the entire staff at the Homewood Suites. We have stayed there a number of times in the last year and find the staff there to be the finest we have encountered in our many travels over the years both in my work and our vacations as a family. We now make every effort to stay there whenever we visit our son in Madison. For the most part hotels are places to stay when you are away from home but what sets hotels apart from one another is the staff and the staff at Homewood Suites West is second to none. They are as customer centric as I have seen any staff. They are friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful. They make you feel special like you have never left home. I guess you could say they put the Home in Homewood. We have had the most interaction with Shannon behind the desk at the hotel as she is usually there when we check out, so most of my stories are about Shannon but suffice it to say the entire staff has been amazing. When we stayed at the hotel in early November there was a snowstorm overnight. Shannon was out cleaning the snow off the customers cars the next morning when her shift behind the desk had ended. We stayed at the hotel over Thanksgiving to celebrate it with our son who was a student at UW at the time but could not come home due to a work commitment. It was great being able to make a Thanksgiving meal for the three of us in the full kitchen in the room. At one point I noticed that my Hilton Honors Account had been hacked and I had lost tens of thousands of points due to a falsified stay in China which supposedly occurred that Thanksgiving weekend. When I mentioned it to Shannon, she jumped into action even though I certainly was not expecting her to get involved with this problem. She confirmed the falsified stay on the desk computer and got on the phone with Hilton Honors. She ended up making a couple of phone calls and being forwarded to various individuals. After spending over 30 minutes on the phone being put on hold and being forwarded around, she spoke to a manager at Hilton Honors and the problem was solved. By the end of the day I had all my points back. All the while she was on the phone, she never missed a beat with her desk duties and helped numerous individuals that came to the desk for assistance. At the end of our Thanksgiving stay as we were leaving Shannon came out from behind the desk and gave my wife and I both a big hug and wished us a Happy Thanksgiving. When our son graduated in December another of the desk agents (unfortunately I dont know his name) came out from behind the desk, without even being asked, and took photos of us with our son in his cap and gown at various locations offering nice backdrops in the hotel lobby. Lastly during our most recent stay in May the desk staff explained to us all the steps the hotel was taking to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. This gave us comfort knowing that we could stay there and not worry about the environment in the hotel causing any issues with spread of the virus. My only regret is that we did not stay at the Homewood Suites earlier in our sons tenure at UW-Madison. We would have stayed there for every visit we made to the Madison area.

  Good stay

  From the minute we walked into the hotel, we could tell they were well-focused on cleanliness during the pandemic. All of the staff wore their masks properly (no hanging off noses or chins) and maintained social distance. Due to using the hotel chain app to check in online, no one handled my credit card and a digital key was available (turn on your bluetooth). The staff was friendly and welcoming. We could confirm that no one had entered the room since it had clean because there was a sticker-seal on the door that you had to break in order to enter the room. I'm a big fan of their one-bedroom suites with their solid door between the bedroom and living area, two-person coffee maker and there being plenty of space overall. There were outdoor patio spaces where one could sit. There is a shopping mall close nearby with a Target, restaurants, etc. There was a room service menu that looked good, but we did not use it. Despite being near the highway, there was almost no noise at all in the room. Due to the pandemic, there was no buffet breakfast; the hotel handed out bags with a granola bar and muffin. I've been an elite member of another hotel chain for many years, but due to this experience, I will be looking for more Homewood Suites.

  Very quiet hotel, conveniently located and nice size suites

  Needed a larger room due to traveling to the area for a doctor appointment and procedure at UW and this was the only one I could find that was handicap accessible and somewhat close to my appointment. There was a sticker across the door to the room saying it had been cleaned & sanitized. The room was fairly clean but I did find a large wad of some type of lint and long hair near the bathroom shower. Also found a stretchy hair tie on the bedroom floor. Yes it was clean but could have been better! The room itself was fairly comfortable but the biggest issue is the seating in the living from area....the 2 chairs at the kitchen table are way too low for a handicap individual to get in and out of and the loveseat is just ok to sit in. My biggest disappointment was that the coffee maker in the room was like making a cup of instant in the microwave, I ended up going to Target (a few blocks away) and buying a small Mr Coffee. I had called and asked if there was a coffee maker in the room at the time I booked & was told yes the room had a 'regular style coffee maker" NOT TRUE! Also at booking I asked if this room had a roll in shower and was told no but they could install a shower bench to the handicap accessible tub. Once we checked in & got into the room, one bathroom had a roll in shower but did NOT have a shower bench. They installed the shower bench in the bathroom that was NOT HC accessible & had I have known this I could have brought my shower bench along! Lots of miscommunications!! The entrance is very modern and clean but to get to an elevator is rather cumbersome as it is down a long winding hall and not placed in a very convenient spot. On the plus side, there are 3 restaurants across the street: a sandwich shop, a breakfast /lunch cafe and a bar/grill. Aldi is a short walk away and Target is a few blocks away but not really walkable to. My doctors office is less than 5 miles away.

  Predictably good

  The room was ready when we arrived, had keyless entry to bypass the front desk, and had a sanitized symbol on the door which made us feel better COVID wise. We had a two bedroom room and the room with two double beds was HUGE! There are a variety of restaurants nearby offering takeout or delivery. The gym is limited in terms of entry and you have to get a special key from the front desk to access. Overall, pleased with our stay and would return.
