  Not a great experience for Hilton

  This is a great location in the Turkey Creek area of Knoxville. We recently stayed here for the Tennessee football game weekend. The room had a sanitized sticker across the door upon entry and, at first glance, the room seemed clean. However, because of Covid, I used wet wipes on important surfaces such as the Tv remote controls, light switches, lamp switches, and table surfaces. The wet wipes appeared rather dirty after the wipe down, so I cannot imagine that the cleaning people were doing their job well. We brought some food back to eat after the game and there was literally two teaspoons and one butter knife in the silverware drawer, and sparse plates, cups, etc. I didnt realize until departure day that the dishwasher was loaded to the brim with smelly, dirty dishes. Also, we chose this hotel because it offers breakfast. What a disappointment! The breakfast consisted of a paper bag with a small, off brand blueberry muffin, a mini water bottle, and a granola bar. There was a bowl of oranges offered, but of course, no way to cut them. When I asked if they had other fruit, the clerk offered me bananas which I accepted, but then rejected once she brought them out. They were so overripe they were nearly all brown. Gross! The coffee offered was so weak I had to double check and make sure I didnt somehow get tea instead. Ive stayed at other hotels, including other Hilton brand hotels, since Covid began. Other hotels are at least making an effort either by having someone there to serve the hot breakfast, or at least by offering single serve items such as oatmeal packets, yogurt, Pre-packaged hard boiled eggs, etc. It seems like Homewood Suites is using Covid as an excuse to save themselves money, but they will lose customers in the end.

  I wish I could have gave a 5

  This hotel looks really good from the outside and is really clean on the inside, however, it is very dated, the furniture is very used an old, with that sad however the stay was a very good, the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and everything worked as expected. Only thing that I questioned was we stayed 45 minutes away with the same Hilton brand in Pigeon Forge This property served biscuits gravy, oatmeal, waffles, cereal toast, and other items, but here at this property they can't have a breakfast dye to covid, so they gave us a muffin in a bag, yet just 30' away your able to go into the business center and touch everything in there without any sanitizer or any way to disinfect, the same is true at the coffee bar, you can touch all the cups and coffee dispensing pots etc. with nothing to sanitise. As I said earlier I wish I could gave it a 5.

  Tired and worn

  Sorry, Hilton, but this property needs help. Furniture was chipped and dated. The shower head was over 7 feet tall and detachable. It put out a hard spray and was not adjustable for height or position, it snaked away from you. It flooded the bathroom, requiring all our towels to mop up. The Mattress was horrible, it sunk in the middle and you could feel the springs. The pillows were like flat pancakes. Plus side: Very nice front desk and location. We will always stay at Hilton but never this location.

  Time to renovate, tidy up & wear your mask

  I travel extensively and this might be the worst Homewood Suites yet. Very beat up and load since it is right by the interstate. Dust everywhere and it does not appear to be clean. I am amazed at how many good reviews this place has. Front desk person kept having his nose exposed while wearing his mask...yuck!

  Not what we had expected from Hilton

  We recently stayed at a Home2Suites in South Portland, ME and loved it so thought we would use the chain on this trip. For this reservation, we had a one bedroom suite. The suite was large and well appointed. All the supplied dishes were in the dishwasher. Everything. Our room had recently been cleaned and the tile floors were covered in a sticky substance that never stopped grabbing at out shoes for out stay. Stainless steel appliances had a dirty appearance with milky residue left on them. I even had to clean the bathroom sink! Although Hilton expressly says that mask wearing is required in all public areas, the vast majority of people we saw in the hotel were not wearing masks. And the road noise was incredible. Possibly got 2 hours of sleep. Will definitely not be staying here again.
