  THE BEST PLACE FOR PUERTORRICAN FAMILY

  Yo lo recomiendo y es excelente para los latinos que visitan Virginia, ya que cuenta con todas las comodidades necesarias. Sus habitaciones son las mejores y la atencion de sus empleados la maxima. Comidas, piscinas y hasta el laundry excellent.

  Not up to standards

  Not impressed with my first - probably last - time staying at a Homewood Suites. The rooms are supposed to be cleaned at a higher standard during Covid and clearly that was not the case. There was a used towel left on the bathroom door, the rug didnt look like it had been vacuumed and it appeared that not much had been wiped down. Attached is a picture of what the kitchen floor looked like. They do provide breakfast but it was unappetizing - tater tots & a spicy bean burrito. Is this what people eat for breakfast? No thank you. I thought this would be a step up from Hampton Inn but it was a few steps down. The only saving grace - the nice men at the check in desk. One more thing - we saw people without masks & no enforcement. Also, no sanitizing wipes except in the fitness room. Had we known the low standards of this hotel, we would have stayed elsewhere.

  Dirty

  From the dirty towels left in the room from the previous guests to the broken closet door to the dirty floors and just overall uncleaniess this is one of the worst hotels I've stayed at. Its apparent the cleaning staff just doesn't care and the "Hilton Promise" for cleanliness in the time of COVID is nothing more then a sham when you hire people that don't take the responsibility seriously.

  nice place in the sun, but in the sun only

  Usually we like homewood suites in Fredricksburg having stayed there multiple times, but a place is only as good as it is in trying times. Amazingly, there is no overhang in front of the check-in area outside, so if you're there in the sun it's fine, but we were there during a rainstorm and had the privilege of being pelted by pouring rain trying to load and then unload the car. It was barely above freezing out. I'm a physician and am now waiting for pneumonia to set in, also being elderly and having cancer. Asked about the lack of such a basic amenity at the front dest we were told that they've been trying to get an overhang from Hilton for years but are repeatedly denied. This is nonsense, utter nonsense. So check the weather report before you book & if inclement weather is i the forecast, look elsewhere. Better for your health to be at Motel 6 where they value such small amenities.

  Stay at residence inn instead

  The location was nice. The room itself was easy to navigate and clean. If you have kids, make sure to take child proofing items bc the knives are in an easy to access drawer. Also the knives are LITERALLY falling apart. Into pieces. We got there on a Monday. We didn't want people coming into the room so we did what everyone else did and left our trash outside the door. They picked up everyone else's daily but ours piled up until Thursday bc they never bothered to check. The maids on the 3rd floor didn't wear masks most times unless they saw you coming down the hall. They also had a freaking fire drill at 330 in the morning. Checkout was HORRIBLE. FREAKING HORRIBLE. We got there at 615. The guy at checkout didn't know how to put the charges on 2 different cards. And it took him 30 MINUTES to figure it out. We ended up being late to the airport and missed our flight. Then we found out at the airport when we were trying to buy breakfast that they not only charged my visa and discover but added an EXTRA $650 in charges. When I called they just said ooops and that the charges will eventually drop off. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Honestly, find somewhere else to stay. The residence inn by the mall is nicer anyway.
