    TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

    STAY AWAY! ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! Please keep in mind we are Hilton Honors Members and International Hilton visitors and this was by far the worst experience weve had. The hallways, elevators and entryways are not kept clean which is unacceptable esp at a time like this with COVID-19. Marshe, the GM, and David, who identifies himself as a Dept Head, were extremely rude (Photos below) We have a newborn and small child & were rushed out of our room when we told them we were leaving a few days earlier due to our uncomfortable stay. When we didnt leave at that exact time they called the police. The police came and left after they realized the call was nonsensical. Book somewhere else and save yourself a headache. I will definitely be calling Corporate to discuss bc they also overcharged. TERRIBLE!

    Very Disappointing

    Checked in 5/26 and will be leaving early instead for another hotel. The kitchen and furnishings in the room need to be updated. They are all so dated. Furniture are stained and I felt thrown back in time. The lobby is nice and the hotel rooms have not been updated yet. Do not recommend till renovation to the rooms have been completed.

    WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE!

    WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE! One of the worst hotels I have ever been to. Booked a 2 night stay. Checked in at 7pm. Went up stairs to room 312. Walked in and the room was filthy. Sticky stains on the floor. The bathroom was had not been clean. Women's hair on the bathroom walls as well as dirty hand prints. The shower had black grit on the shower floor and the dirt all over the inside walls. The light fixture over the sink was blinking and one turned off completely. The AC unit was leaking water onto the carpet, and the unit itself had wires hanging from the bottom of it touching the wet floor. I went down to the front desk told them what was going on. The woman stated that she could not move me to another room because they were full. She offered to had it cleaned and everything fix for me, so I left to get some dinner after driving 8 hours. Meanwhile I walked outside and realized that the parking lot was empty. I come back from dinner. Walk in the hotel, she stated that everything was cleaned and ready to go. I go back to room 312, open the door everything is exactly the same. NOTHING was done! Totally just lied to. Walk my tired ass back down stairs comfrontvthe front desk lady. I told her the room was exactly the same, dirt everywhere, I asked her why she told me that the room was cleaned when it obviously was not. She told me that the cleaning crew had left for the night and there was nothing that she could do. It was now 11pm. I asked if she could get me another room at another hotel. She stated that she could not because I booked it from a 3rd party website. Aka Priceline. I was told that my stay that night would be completely compensated, and that I could speak with the manager in the morning. Meanwhile its 12 midnight and I was put in a unsafe, unclean room with no other real options but to just sleep there one night. The next morning I spoke with the manager, she stated that really the only thing that she could do was the one night would be reimbursed and that she we call Priceline to rely that the one night would be reimbursed to their card, so they can reimburse my card. Also while I was out for the day she would have her crews maintenance and house cleaning fix my room before I came back. I Stated that this whole ordeal was really unprofessional, she asked if I was a rewards card holder. I Stated "NO". She says then there is really nothing I can do for you. I said what if I was? She stated that she would be able to accommodate me in another room and give me my money back, but because I was NOT a card member and I used a 3rd party, there was nothing I could do. I left for the night and came back around 7:30pm, went up to room 312. Again NOTHING was cleaned, NOTHING was fixed. There was a new addition though.. They put a very loud air blower on the floor where the AC was leaking to dry the floor. The wire is still hanging down, and still touching the wet floor. The bathroom is still so disgusting that I can not even shower. I called Priceline to complain, Priceline called the hotel and the manager told Priceline that they would only reimburse $30.00. My Totally for 2 nights was $212.00 for this trash and headache. So now I am pissed. Can't shower, water and sticky stains on the floor, dirty hand prints all over the walls, and if I wanted to use the bathroom I am staring and a ball of Women's hair on the wall, The light fixture over the sink doesn't work, and now I have a loud ass blower in my room so sleeping was not going to happen. I go back down and explain to the new girl at the front desk about how am supposed to sleep with the noise. She stated that she will call someone to remove the blower. They way these people handled it like they dont give a hoot what so ever. I want my money back. Havent slept or showered in 2 days. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

    Beautiful Accomodations

    Every time that I travel and has used the Homewood Suites for my accommodations, I have never been disappointed. This hotel visit in August 2020 at the Chesapeake, Virginia location was absolutely great! And the front desk receptionist named Markea, was so friendly, helpful and just overall has a beautiful demeanor. I initially chose the Hyatt Place right down the street, however at the onset of me checking in; I was disappointed and treated not so kindly. I was given a rate for my stay, but when I arrived, there were additional fees that I was not told about, causing each night to cost $210. Of course, I was very upset but I had no choice at that moment but to stay there for the night. The next day, I found that the Homewood Suites were less than five minutes away and I made new reservations there and it was definitely an upgrade. The room was so much larger, the bedroom is separated from the living room, and there is a full kitchen with a full size refrigerator & cooking stove. Most importantly, the room was more than $100 less per night. Whenever the opportunity presents itself and you have the opportunity to use Homewood Suites accommodations, I sincerely suggest that you do and that you will not be disappointed.

    Rude manager

    I have been a Hilton diamond member for 15 years, and a frequent guest for 20+. I drove 14 hours to visit my kid in the navy. I was just dead tired, and assumed checkout was at noon, as it is with many hotels. The manager, Amanda Lowe, called me at 11 and began the conversation with real attitude. I promised to be out by noon, and then she just hung up on me. She claims she has witnesses that say otherwise, but my wife was in the lobby getting coffee earlier, and only Ms. Lowe was there, and when I went to tell them my opinion of the treatment, Ms Lowe was still the only one there. I have never been treated with such disdain as a loyal customer and I cant believe, during this pandemic, Hilton can afford to run customers away. Yes, I know most of these are franchises, but Hilton is ultimately the driving force. On top of the attitude, I would also note that the property is not maintained well. Im encouraging you to avoid this property, if for no other reason, we should be treating each other with decency.
