  Enjoyable stay

  Had a good two nights here. The Harbour View room has a great view of the water from the outdoor area. Out of the town centre, though there are a number of food options in town and some rooms have full kitchen facilities if you want to cook your own meals. We didn't have any in person contact with the hosts, just a text message saying what room we were in and that the key was in the door. Wifi password, emergency details and information about St Helens and local attractions are all provided in the room. Housekeeping would've been nice, though it was only a two night stay so not a necessity. Would recommend to others.

  Lovely stay in a lovely town

  We had a great short stay at Homelea. Central location right by the walking track around the bay makes it easy to walk into town for a coffee or dinner. Comfy beds, very clean rooms and a self contained kitchen. Lovely grounds with a play area for the kids and BBQs. Although the units were small, they had everything we needed and we had a wonderful stay. Would definitely come back and stay again.

  Best value for money so far

  Best value for money on our trip so far, out of 12 motels/ hotels under $150 per night. These rooms are beautiful, the surrounding gardens are lovely. Bathroom also had a rain shower, which I loved! Easy late check in. All amenities needed were there.

  COVID restriction cancelation

  We booked 4 nights at Homelea accommodation, the last leg of a Tasmanian trip. We were scheduled to sail on the Spirit of Tasmania on Feb. 14, 2021. Due to a snap lockdown, we of course couldnt sail. Homelea was the only venue we had booked, including our travel, accommodation and entertainment, that not only had already debited the entire amount, not just a deposit, but refused hands down, rudely, any sort of refund. Nearly $600 down the tubes for absolutely nothing and lied and was rude to boot. Beware when considering this dodgy place.

  Hidden gem for a short or long stay.

  Stopped in St Helens after a long day touring the east coast from Hobart, and chanced on this excellent apartment style accommodation. It was a little awkward checking in, but well worth it for the spacious, modern and very clean apartment. Although it is technically on the highway, it was not noisy at all, and very reasonably priced - just a few dollars more than if we had rented two rooms at the flea bitten hotel down the road. Will definitely return for a longer stay in the area.
