  Great Option

  Great overall experience in a hotel that takes cleaning seriously. The room was completely spotless and every time I walked in the lobby someone was cleaning something. Great grab-and-go breakfast with variety and nice outdoor spaces including the pool on the private jetport. Rooms on 1st floor have high ceilings feeling even larger. This is a great option on St Simons!

  Great hotel, great location

  This is a nice hotel that is by many restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. I was very surprised that their was no noise from the airport that we are next to. I would stay here again.

  Nice, Clean Hotel

  Hotel was very clean. Location was great. We enjoyed watching the planes come in and take off as we sat poolisde. Pool was nice, smaller than it appears in photos. Could have used a vacuum on the bottom but generally a nice pool. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Front desk personnel were a little lacking in personality and not really friendly. Location of the hotel is fine- it's a small island so you're not far from anything. Would stay here again.

  Beach getaway with low crowds during Covid Travel

  Loved staying at this cute hotel. We were looking for a place near St Simons or Jekyll Island and opted here more bc of budget and location to beaches. Although this hotel is not oceanfront it was only a 15 min drive to East Beach and Massengale Park beaches in St Simons. It took about 20 min to get to Jekyll Island. We spent one day in St Simons and 2 days in Jekyll. Keep in mind it costs $8 to go into Jekyll island each time. Location of this hotel is literally right next door to the McKinnon St Simons airport. It literally shares the same parking lot and entryway. But the airport is a tiny one for people that have private planes(?). Dont let that deter you from staying here. We didnt hear planes at all. Also based on reviews about pets staying here I was a little worried about hearing darks barking or my allergies acting up- didnt see or hear any pets and didnt sneeze one time! Traveling in Covid times- felt safe and clean. Front desk staff and ladies helping with the Breakfast in the mornings all wore masks. Hand sanitizer at the elevator. Sealed sticker at your door to go into your room which is a nice touch to show the effort of keeping things clean. Tons of reminders for social distancing etc throughout hotel. I did bring my own Clorox wipes bc Im being a clean freak with traveling and wipes down all surfaces. Room was clean- its like a suite with the 2 queen beds- plenty of space. We brought our own Keurig bc we drink tons of coffee and it saves money. The rooms do offer a kitchenette with full size refrigerator and freezer, microwave, sink, dishwasher. Ceramic plates,bowls and coffee mugs, and silverware. All of it was clean. Bathroom- door is a little heavy to slide close but otherwise it was fine. If you have children or elderly - will be tough for them to slide close. Room rug seemed a little damp(?)...kept our shoes on. Thats the only negative I have to say. Breakfast in mornings end at 9. Hot waffle, egg sandwiches/wraps prewrapped for safety, cereal, biscuits and gravy, grits, milk, juice, coffee. There are staff to help cook the waffle for you as to limit multiple touches due to Covid and Safety...which I thought was nice. We stayed at another hotel this summer that stopped serving breakfast altogether due to Covid. The way Hilton did this was nice and wasnt concerned about safety. Front desk and staff were overall extremely helpful, nice, had masks on and am grateful to have stayed here as this is only our 2nd trip since Covid. Next time we come to the Golden Isles my husband wants to stay on the oceanfront at Westin in Jekyll Island, but if we came back here and the prices were too high there- we would def come back here again. Loved Visiting Coastal Georgia!!! Fell in love with the marsh, ocean, Spanish moss and oak trees.

  Disappointed in my go-to hotel

  The checkout time for this hotel is an hour before every other hotel. The cleaning lady let us know this when she barged in our room at 10:30AM while my husband was eating and I was trying to sleep, and barged in again at 11 and rudely kept asking youre STILL here?. We also got charged almost $200 for a cleaning free for my colored hair conditioner that comes right out of everything with even mild cleaner. I know this because I clean it out of our shower once every week when I use it. They charged us because they actually had to do their job and clean properly. This was the worst stay weve had at this hotel and we will not be returning.
