  Large Rooms, Great Service, Delicious Breakfast

  I have stayed here several times in the last months trying to get my home sold and move my items out of Jackson, MS. The hotel staff is very friendly and inviting. The rooms are incredibly large. Lots of room for storage, a full size fridge, dishwasher, small coffee maker, and a curtain to separate the small sitting area from the beds. The rooms are virtually sound proof. I couldn't hear anyone in the halls or the hurricane that rolled in with massive thunderstorms on one of the visits. The showers include pumps with shampoo and body soap but no conditioner. Doors to the room can be opened with your phone or a key from the front desk. At the beginning of COVID, this hotel did not offer breakfast, but they have transitioned to more options now. They have delicious microwaveable bagel sandwiches and omelets, yogurt, breads for toasting, cereal, juices and milk, coffee... there are gloves at the beginning of the buffet for guests to use to not contaminate the area, though most of the food is individually wrapped to prevent most of this already. This hotel is in a very good part of town and the parking lot is well lit. It's seconds/minutes away from a walking trail and a nature park where you can exercise, multiple restaurants, and several strip malls. Reasonably priced, this is a great option for those delayed by airlines and people visiting relatives in Jackson as it is just a short 10 minute drive into town.

  Not cleaned properly

  This is the second time I have stayed at this location. The first time everything was great. Not so this time. The room was not cleaned very well. The first thing I noticed was a used wash cloth in the shower. Next, was black mold growing on the ceiling. Next, the trash can had not been emptied. Finally, there was food debris left in the refrigerator. I would like to think this was an isolated incident, but in this time of Covid-19, I was skeptical that the room had been properly disinfected. Luckily I had a container of Lysol in my car and spent 30 minutes wiping everything down. I tried to inform the person at the front counter, but I don't think they were taking it seriously. Trying to contact Hilton is a joke as they make it nearly impossible to contact the right department. Will not be staying there again.

  Our Favorite Flowood Hotel

  We come to Flowood about twice a month so see family and have been staying at all the hotels. This one has been our favorites in every category, from the friendly staff to the convenient location, it's excellent and checks all the boxes. They've figured out a way to safely serve guests hot hot breakfast through the pandemic. Staff is very hospitable. entire property is modern, fresh and uplifting. The rooms are well appointed and again, modern. The location is very convenient to the airport, shopping and dining. A Lyft ride to the airport is around $15. We will definitely stay again and often!

  Stayed one night.

  Not sure if there was an event when we were there but walls were paper thin and I could here everything in other rooms. Had to call front desk to come up and unfortunately it was after 11pm so we had to wait for front desk person to be free to do so. Front desk staff was EXCEEDINGLY nice. Some bed linens were either stained or not cleaned but luckily there were multiple pillows so we put stained ones aside and folded down stained covers. Bathroom was fairly clean and towels were very clean. Overall not bad but probably will not stay again at the rate we paid. They did serve a breakfast but it was too crowded to get to without breaking social distancing. Overall not bad but with paper thin walls and hearing people in halls and walking overhead I did not get much sleep.

  Poor safety and Very disappointed w staff and cleanliness!

  We had to wait over an hour and half past checkin with no proper order to which family got to check in first amongst our whole soccer team. Maybe take names of those there first and assign rooms accordingly!? They need a better system to handle this. Later in the evening we grabbed pizza after a late soccer game and ate tog as a team in lobbyHOLLY (night auditor) told us the lobby closed at 11 pm. When my husband questioned if this was a true Hilton policy or her just wanting us gone she was rude and a few min later--he caught her discussing the matter and talking negatively about him on the phone w someone else. When he approached her about it she then became BEYOND rude and loud and told us we were threatening her and in her space and was going to call the police if we didnt go to our rooms. It was ridiculous and embarrassing!! Upon entering the room there were black hairs in the sink and toilet and the ac didnt work!! Yuck -Also had a broken lampshade!? Hubby ended up apologizing to her later if she felt threatened and she never acknowledged her rudeness, attitude, and dismissiveness or apologized back to us in anyway. BIGGEST ISSUEgoing through the side door to retrieve luggage i slipped on the ice and hurt my right hip and it throbbed all nite but thankfully didnt break it! Is is that hard to get maintenance to shovel and remove ice from a door entrance or salt it to prevent this? This hotel majorly needs to address safety, cleanliness and hotel staff hostility twd GUESTS We were not the only ones from our team w issues from the staff and poor cleanliness in rooms either.
