  Would have been perfect before Covid

  My friends and I stayed here while in Frankfort for the Bourbon Trail. The hotel was clean and the room was great. The kitchenette was nice. I would like to have experienced this hotel not in Covid times, but due to Covid some amenities where not as good as I hoped. The pool was shut down and the breakfast was a cold sandwich that had to be heated up in your room. There were other places we stayed while on the Bourbon Trail that where a better value or offered more for the same price. Still a very nice stay.

  3 strikes and you're out

  Upon arriving and seeing our room, we were so excited and happy! Spacious, clean and modern. We were booked for 3 nights, but unfortunately the happy didn't last long. There were apparently a number of rooms together on our floor. No problem, we've done the same with friends and family in the past. These guests started partying at 2 am and went on til 430 am, then started again at 6 am. We went to the front desk and asked to be moved and explained why. The said they didn't have any other rooms, and yes these party guests were staying again at least another night. The manager then told us that they have a 3 strike (complaint) policy and they would talk to the guests AGAIN, as this was their second complaint. Wait, what? Is Home2 running a baseball game or hotel? 3 strikes and you're out?? During these already stressful times of travel? We cancelled the other 2 nights of our reservation and went to the Hampton Inn, which is also owned by Hilton. Wonderful experience. Maybe not the wow factor Home2 offers, but nice clean rooms with a wonderful staff. I will not stay at Home2 Suites for any future travel.

  A SAFE HAVEN

  Traveling in the time of COVID can be tricky. If all hotels were as well managed as this one, it would be a lot easier! We were very impressed by the care all the staff put into making us feel welcome and safe. All staff wore masks and kept them on ;-) Breakfast was handled graciously with no corners cut. We were able to select breakfast sandwiches to take back to our rooms and conveniently warm up in the room microwave. Our room was immaculate. Bed was super comfy. WE WILL BE BACK!

  Honest Staff!

  I stayed here for a business trip and to visit the bourbon trail! It's in a great location and close to Buffalo Trace and Woodford Reserve. The day after my departure, the assistant manager emailed me to let me know I left something behind. I did not realize she was referring to my ipad! I called the hotel and they made arrangements to ship it back to me in Charlotte! I'm grateful the housekeeping staff turned it in and it's being returned. That says a lot! I will be back!

  Covid Friendly But to the Point Of Being Rude

  The rooms were very clean and the beds are comfy. They offered a sad Covid breakfast. I was served a frozen muffin and told to go heat it up in my room..... after checking out..... No signs are posted explaining their Covid procedures. Instead of being at the front desk ready to help customers, staff stood in the back and stared at us through a window. I give it a four based on room quality and not on the helpfulness of staff.
