Clean and big room, modern hotelThe colors are bright green like. The studio has a small kitchenette with a big fridge and dishwasher. The rooms are big, clean and well maintained. Breakfast included, it is mostly self service and warm up. It was good selection. The staff is nice and friendly.

10/10, highly recommend! We stayed for a week during June 2020 during the Covid pandemic in a king suite in the back of the hotel overlooking the beautiful valley on the 4th floor. Even though our entire stay was purchased with a massive amount of HH points, the 3 staff members we interacted with all week were the best of the best. My husband and two young children were with me, visiting my family outside of Scranton while they sold my childhood home. I had to bring my work with me, and Mike, the GM, was incredible. Everyday I was able to use a quiet office / conference room to get my video work finished without disrupting anyone else's stay, or being interrupted. While working every day in that room, I could hear just outside the door every single time other guests came off the elevator or arrived through the door, and Mike would immediately greet them every single time with a, "Welcome back, how was your day?" or, "Hey, welcome, how are you doing?" It didn't matter if he was talking to a family or people staying on business, everyone got the same, genuine greeting and usually some conversation too. I've traveled in dozens of hotels all across the country from several different chains and this was our first time staying in a Home2 Suites by Hilton. It will not be the last! It was very clear Mike enjoys what he does, giving everyone a genuine greeting every time he sees them and making sure they're enjoying their stay. The night shift front desk attendant (woman, didn't catch her name) was also very friendly and helpful all week. The woman attending to the rooms was wonderful, very attentive and kind. Because of Covid we were able to schedule if/when our room was tended to, how much or how little. It was great for us! Even though their hot breakfast and normal servings were temporarily suspended because of the pandemic, they kept a large tray of poptarts, nutrigrain bars, granola bars, and otis spunkmeyer muffins ready at the front desk and always kept it full for several hours each morning. I am a big hot tea drinker in the morning and they always kept the coffee bar area well stocked, even for us tea enthusiasts! There were plenty of work spaces with outlets spread all over the breakfast area and front lobby, a variety of seating, and I adored sitting by the big picture windows next to the patio. The patio was open 24/7 for guests and offered such a beautiful view of the valley night and day. There was also another deck immediately below on the 1st floor (under the lobby) next to the pool with tables and chairs. We loved that the pool opened up the week we were staying, and that it was well kept and super clean- and that both the indoor pool and hot tub were salt water! The pool towels were the biggest and softest I've ever seen at a hotel. Our king suite was fabulous for our family of four. So much storage between the two extra long counters as well as the awesome wall storage shelves and cabinets and spacious drawers. My boys enjoyed the free-rolling table that was otherwise parked under one of the counters, and I enjoyed the kitchen nook. It was very impressive, with more amenities than most hotel kitchen suites we've stayed in before: 5' fridge/freezer combo (free bottled water 24/7 too), full size hanging microwave, dishwasher (wow!), toaster, and you can ask front desk for a griddle if needed. All the glassware, cooking and eating utensils were spotless and available as well, with even more storage for the food stuffs we brought with us. Our boys said the pullout bed was comfortable, and the room has a heavy curtain you can pull down the middle for privacy as needed. THE BED WAS AMAZING!! Like I've said before, we have stayed in dozens and dozens of hotels the past 20 years and since we got a Sleep Number bed 4 years ago, staying on normal flat beds has been ruined for us... until this week! Literally the BEST flat mattress we've ever slept on. Soft sheets too, great variety of pillows. We also appreciated the optional window shades, one that let partial light in and another to blackout the room (which we used every night). My parents are already planning on booking this hotel again for themselves while they finish up selling their home here and traveling back and forth from their new home out of state in NC this summer. Next time my family and I travel, we will definitely always look for Home2 Suites first from now on! Thank you, Mike, you and your staff really made our stay this week over the top between getting tons of my work done and having a comfortable, welcoming, clean place to relax this week. If we bring our boys back this winter to ski at Elk Mountain, this is where we will book for sure!! I doubt this Home2 Suites will stay #2 in Scranton for long... I'd stay here over the other place ANY day!

Fair stayThey claim they are extra cautious with COVID-19, when I got to my room and started putting stuff away in the kitchen, I noticed a used knife in the sink. So apparently the sink did not get disinfectant or they would of saw it laying there. Your breakfast was pop tarts, granola bars, nutri grain bars or muffins. $100 dog fee. Doubt if Ill be back.

Good ChoiceStayed 1 night on our way to NY. This is a fairly new, modern, hotel with great amenities. The rooms are spacious & comfortable. We missed the usual breakfast which was not available due to Covid 19 restrictions. The hotel was very clean & all staff wore masks. There is a deck with a beautiful view & we ate our take out food there. Evan at the front desk was especially helpful. We plan to stay at this hotel again.

Great Covid 19 hotel! They have this down!Fantastic experience here! 3rd hotel we've stayed at in 4 weeks during Covid-19 (Sep/Oct 2020) and this by far was the best experience! We stayed 3 nights for a family destination wedding. Super clean, staff is very polite, kind and goes above and beyond! Breakfast feels like they've really tried to make incredible (even with the current situation). And complimentary water bottles! Very well done! Would definitely come back to this one and consider other similar branded properties!
