    An enjoyable B&B

We stayed three day at the Homagen B&B. David and Christine were very welcoming and made your stay truly enjoyable. The breakfast is a treat of local Scottish products. The room was very clean and had an en-suite modern bathroom.

    Very cosy and welcoming B&B

We spent two nights at homagen in September. The couple who run the place are very friendly and hospitable but not intrusive. The room was spotless and the beds very comfortable. I had the best sleep in weeks there. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and large portions. Everyone sat around the one table which gave you chance to chat and get to now other guests.

    Good value for money

Stayed in this bed and breakfast for 2 nights a few weeks ago as my partner was working in the area, so him, myself and our dog booked in here. We arrived around 4 o clock on a Thursday but were not given the warmest of welcomes. The lady who opened the door didnt introduce herself and we only found out her name the next day when someone else was talking to her. We were shown it out room which was the twin room with en suite. The standard of cleanliness was very high , especially for a place where they accept dogs. This is also a worry as I suffer from asthma and do like to stay at places where you cannot tell if there has been a dog previously in the room and this was certainly one of them. The bathroom was also cleaned to high standard and was spacious. The only dusty items were the Venetian blinds, the tv and the tv remote. The tv was extremely small and I realise a lot of people are not going to the highlands to watch tv! however it was so small it would have been better to leave it out of the bedroom. The bedroom was at the front of the house on the road, but this is not a very busy road and we had no trouble sleeping. In fact we got a great sleep as the bed linen was of high standard and the bed was very comfortable. The tea tray had a good selection of teas and had some much appreciation deans shortbread. The owners are not very talkative and kept chat to a minimum, they didnt even acknowledge the dog when we were walking in and out. The breakfast was fine, you need to order the night before, even down to what you want to drink, but this has the advantage of your breakfast being served quickly as soon as you get into the dining room. We did feel a bit rushed with breakfast on second day as it breakfast was brought to the table before we finished our cereal. I think for the area this is a good B and B, but would appreciate a warmer style of hosting. I understand not everyone wants that either but it was to the point of being rude. However the standard of cleanliness was extremely good, so I probably would stay here again if I was in the area.

    Disgraceful

I booked through Expedia, and they were happy taking my money, but when I arrived they say they're closed. They won't honour the booking, and everywhere else in town is full. After I spent a few mins standing outside frantically googling alternative accommodation, the owner made a point of turning off the lights and closing the blinds. Not even a "sorry". It's dark and cold and I have nowhere to sleep. The owner is nice and warm inside and doesn't think they did anything wrong.
