  Good accommodation - if a little ideosyncratic

  First, a word of warning: DO NOT book this accommodation through Laterooms. When I arrived, I found that Holland International Rooms no longer deals with Laterooms, and it had not received my reservation. Fortunately, it had a room and offered the same price. The accommodation itself is good value, if a little idiosyncratic. My room was spacious and had air conditioning. Breakfast is not offered, but there is a fridge in a guest lounge. You are basically renting the room (I rate the service as average because none is offered apart from checkin and checkout) Holland International Rooms is rather hidden away, with the entrance at the far end of a courtyard that you enter through a passageway from the street. It is around ten minutes walk from the train and bus station (which has a cheap bus connection to the airport) and close to the town centre.

  excellent accomodation in central location...with a parking space in central Catania!

  We stayed at Holland international rooms for 5 nights in October. The hotel is centrally located in Catania. rooms are spacious and clean and we also had a comfortable free parking. The owners are very nice and really helpful and they can speak English very well. I definitely recommend this

  Good quality budget hotel

  Delayed in Catania due to an air traffic strike. The hotel was well located to walk to all the sites. The room was clean and comfortable and the owner was very helpful in suggesting places to eat. The lounge is quirky.

  Welcoming host, great location

  We arrived by car in Catania without a reservation and found this place on hotels.com. We felt like Mary and Joseph, each place we went to was full. There was a room for us because of a cancellation. Stayed three nights. Our host recommended locally-owned restaurants that served delicious meals. The location was perfect for meandering the historical centro, dining and even an evening at the opera at the Bellini Opera House. Beautiful murals on the ceilings. It must have been a very grand home in its day. Free and secure parking. I fell in the bathroom and injured my left foot due to water on the floor from the shower. No floor or shower mats.

  Real Cantania

  If you're looking for budget accommodation in the centre of Catania this is a great spot. Quirky rooms and a spotless bathroom! Real value for money and a nice host. Easy car parking. Only minor criticisms would be slightly noisy air con, and towels smelt a little musty but this shouldn't put you off. Catania is great and brill place for exploring the surrounding area with a real buzz in the city in the evenings. Great place for breakfast just around the corner by the roundabout. Recommended.
