Double booked! Not safe!My daughter and I decided to stay in McPherson when traveling through Western Kansas for a small vacation. As a single mother of a 13 year old girl safety is my focus and in the age of COVID, cleanliness is top on the list as well. I read through reviews and decided on SureStay. There was nothing wrong with the room except the remote did not work and attendant unable to help. The ice machine was also broken. My expectations were not high as we were just wanting a safe and clean place to stay. At 5:30 in the morning a man opened our door and kept trying to come in. He had a key that unlocked the door. The only thing that protected my daughter and I from having a stranger in our room was the fact that we used the chain to lock the door. The man began yelling that it was his room. I stated that we had been there all night and forcefully shut the door on him. I called the front desk and they said sorry and that this happens way to frequently. That is extremely scary and frustrating. I am very upset as this was my daughter and I's first outing after a year. With the fact I left an abusive husband to keep my daughter safe....having an angry man screaming at 5:30 am to get into his room was a horrible experience for the both of us. He had a key that unlocked the door!! That is unacceptable! A chain is all that saved us from losing all security. I have reached out to the hotel and corporate with lack of response so I decided to post a review.

Too many issuesBugs in room, including dead crickets on bathroom floor and tub. All guest had to leave hotel due to a water heater issue. My final receipt showed a charge for this when I was told I wouldnt be charged for the night we had to move to the fairfield. The ladies at the front staff are nice and attentive and did the best they could given the circumstances. I feel management needs to better care for this property and provide a plan and staff training for when certain issues arise.

Nice HotelMy wife and I recently stayed here while traveling to Oklahoma. This is a good hotel if you're on a budget. The cost for a king room is well under $100 tax included. It is located near many restaurants and stores. We only had a few minor things wrong with the room. While it is clean and comfortable, the maids did not leave coffee cups and the TV remote was missing. Both were promptly taken care of by the manager. It also has a outdoor pool and the first floor rooms have direct door access from the parking lot into the room.

Will never returnWe booked thru Best Western for our trip around Kansas. Been members for over 40 years, this hotel does not represent Best Western in a positive way. The room was supposedly cleaned.....dead bugs in corners as didnt look like floor had been vacuum, coffee maker had used coffee pod still in, however no styrofoam cups or plastic glasses for water were available. Left door tag on both doors requesting maid service and a note as to concerns...when we got back that evening nothing had been done and tags still on doors. If we have the need to stay in McPherson it will definitely not be this place. Guess you get what you pay for.

In McPherson for family weddingHotel for me, my brother, and elderly (both 84) parents - for three nights - for my sons wedding weekend. Laura and other staff were very helpful. Breakfast was slimmer than normal - before COVID-19 - but was still good. All individually wrapped mini-muffins, bread for toast, bagels, cereal in bowls (4-5 kinds), cheese omelette ready to be heated in microwave, oranges, and juices. Coffee was very good!
