  I expected more from Holiday Inn

  The room was dark and our twin room had 2 double beds. There were 2 pillows on each bed, one soft and the other firm. Housekeeping was very slow (it took them 30 minutes to bring me a bathrobe). The breakfast buffet was very average for a 4-star hotel.

  Exceeding expectation

  First time in Lovely city of Tabouk and the hotel selection was just right. Friendly staff, clean facility, close to airport. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable and internet was free. Prices were good compared to the value you get. Breakfast and dinner were good.

  Confused & Disappointed

  Our 12 person tour group checked into this hotel at 6 pm. I'm a platinum ICH member. I asked the front desk manager if i could pay to be upgraded to a 1 BR suite. I was told that none were available. One might become available at midnight!! I checked at the hotel web site and 4 suites were available for today and tomorrow. I called the ICH 800 # who confirmed that four 1-BR suites were available for my 2-day stay. What if i had booked the suite online; would I have had to wait until midnight to get into the room. It's been years since i stayed at a Holiday Inn. We usually stay at Intercontinental Hotels. This experience leaves a very bad taste in my mouth and reflects poorly on Saudi Arabian hospitality.

  IHG Hotel in Tabuk

  I would not say this is the best IHG hotel and you can't certainly compare it with the IHG properties of any main city of Saudi Arabia. This is a little old fashioned hotel, one of the best options available in the Tabuk Region. The location is perfect as you can approach any area of the city from this hotel. Rooms and furniture is quite fine and reasonable, and overall staff behaviour is very friendly and warm. The only downfall was, as Gold Elite IHG member, I was just welcomed as any other guest and it wasn't even mentioned. IHG has this history of welcoming any IHG member according to the membership level.

  Their customer service is terrible......

  The Holiday Inn have been terrible. I waited 3 weeks with no reply to my messages. So I finally called them today and now they tell me that they are cancelling my booking due to Ministry of Health! They never replied to any of my messages and I only know now because I just called them! Awful awful service!!
