  Pleasant Stay

  Stayed three nights on business & was glad I stayed. The hotel & restaurant staff were extremely nice. The hotel may be a little dated but the interior appears to have been recently updated. Very clean, nice beds, very nice bed sheets and bedspreads for what that's worth. Right off the interstate but no road noise. Restaurant food is above average and the cook will mix up whatever he can which is a nice touch. Definitely recommend and is especially nice if checking in and staying without going out for food is important.

  Lovely hotel, welcoming staff

  I traveled to visit my family. I loved that the hotel has breakfast, a pool, and is walking distance from a Landrys seafood restaurant. My only issue was that we like to sleep in and at 9am someone was mowing the property grass. With thin walls, it was impossible to get the rest we needed after a long July 4th weekend. Other than that, very welcoming staff, clean and a nice place to stay.

  Amazing Stay! Amazing Staff!

  Crystal (bartender), Curry (cook) and Brie (waitress) were all phenomenal. There were a few ladies at the front desk that were amazing as well; whose names we didn't get. Overall everyone was super nice and attentive. We are from TX (Houston and Austin) and have stayed in some of the finest hotels all over the country (and some out of the country) and by far this hotel was the best stay we've had in a long time. The hotel and rooms were super clean and every accommodation was top notch! We'd definitely stay again! The cherry on top was getting a chance to hang with the "The Ohio Players!" who were in town for a show and were also staying there at the hotel!

  Not so great

  When we first walked into the room it was freezing cold although the thermostat was set at 70 (hint one). As we laid down to sleep about midnight, we began to hear noises coming from the A/C unit (hint two). We ended up waking up in a pool of sweat at 5:30 or so since the A/C unit apparently broke down while we were asleep. We chose this hotel due to its ratings but I feel they were exaggerated and the room is not worthy of a 8.6 rating. The Wi-Fi was weak, and when I told the desk clerk about my experience he said he could not make amends for the inconvenience as I had booked the room through Hotels.com. It has been a while since I stayed at a Holiday Inn and I doubt I will ever use this chain again. Apparently it's not what it used to be.

  Okay

  We stayed here during the pandemic, so the pool was not available. There is an attached restaurant, but we did not eat there during our stay. One of our towels was heavily stained, which was gross. Overall, the place was fine for a night.
