  Spent 2 nights here, very nice property and newly remodeled. Had a great room on the 6 the floor, the side facing freeway is a bit noisy from road noise the golf side is quiet. The best thing of the hotel is convenience , it's right off the freeway ramp, they could place a sign on the main road indicating your turn as the access road is a bit removed. Then it's got a golf course next door, full service 18 holes not bad of a course and has a clubhouse and pool. Restaurant was open for breakfast and dinner so very nice didn't have to order room service. Good service from front desk.

  Highly recommend

  This hotel is fairly new. The staff, especially Carrie and Heather are very helpful. The rooms are very clean and well equipped. Breakfast was to go due to Covid but was ready for us at checkout. The location is perfect- right off the highway next to a Harley Davidson dealership and down the street from the center of downtown. If you need to stop for the night, I definitely recommend staying here!

  We have stayed here multiple times because weve had great stays. It has a full service Holiday Inn charm of days gone by. Usually, the pool is the best part, an indoor/outdoor combo with plenty of seating areas. Unfortunately the pool is currently closed until May 2021. Next to the pool is a full service restaurant and bar. The food is quite good, and Heather was a great server. Breakfast isnt included, but for $8 we got a large sandwich and potatoes. Unfortunately we werent aware that the hotel is in the middle of renovations. I actually thought the traditional decor they had before was cozy, now they are trying to go for a more modern feel. The problem is some corners have been cut. Our bathroom door wouldnt close, the doorknobs and key card locks were loose and took multiple tries for entry, the halls have an odd odor which could easily be fixed, and the contractors were smoking close enough to the building that the smell traveled into the hallways. I want this charming Holiday Inn to do well after the improvements, but there are some things that need to be improved.

  Family visit

  This is an exceptional place to stay. They were very accommodating, clean, and in an exceptional location. Received a great deal and it was so good, we stayed there on our return visit. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone. Its 3 stars are very much earned.

  Stick with Marriott's

  My wife and I stayed at the Holliday in in Staunton VA and were charged $25 more than the reservation total I had received, also when we went to the restaurant to get something to eat after driving all day, they told me they had shut down the grill early because they hadn't had that many orders. I called customer service when I returned home and didn't hear back. After a couple weeks I called back. They told me there was nothing they could do about the extra $25 fee the hotel charged because they can't override the hotels policy. The hotel also told them the restaurant had remained open for orders until 10:00pm which was a complete lie, but regardless, they said they have to support what the hotel told them. So, if you have a problem with a Holliday Inn branded hotel and you have any kind of problem, don't bother wasting your time calling the non-customer service about it because they will do nothing to help you because, "they can't override the hotels policy and apparently, they must believe what ever the hotels version of events are".
