  Nos hospedamos aquí una noche. Había un juego de lacrosse en frente en el Xcel, así que el área estaba llena. Aparcar fue fácil, y el registro fue rápido. La habitación del séptimo piso tenía vista a la rampa de aparcamiento y a la entrada del hotel, pero estuvo sorprendentemente silencioso. Mi única queja era que la ducha tardó casi cinco minutos en calentarse. Hay unos cuantos restaurantes y bares en el área, pero en cambio, hicimos un viaje corto en coche a Grand Ave. para cenar. En general, fue un buen lugar para hospedarse en el centro de St. Paul.

  Estuvo bueno

  Me hospedé en el Holiday Inn mientras hacía el exámen de licensiatura para ser abogado. Queda literalmente en frente del Excel Energy Center, así que es muy conveniente. También queda cerca de Cosettis, un lugar Italiano estupendo donde compras para llevar, y un Starbucks. Sin embargo, hay mucha gente sin techo que vive en el área entre el hotel y el centro. Sí se te acercan para preguntar por dinero, y merodean el hotel. También, las habitaciones no son antiruidos, así que prepárate para óir las conversaciones de los vecinos, porque sucederá. El servicio a la habitación es estupendo pero muy caro. En cambio, solo baja a Liffey y come allí. El hotel podría usar muebles nuevos.

  Great service!

  We stayed at the holiday inn for the boys state hockey tournament and want to give big shout out to Tim Vogel at the front desk. He went above and beyond to make our stay great. We wouldnt hesitate to come back here because of the service he provided. Thank you!!

  Great Hotel, Great Bar/Restaurant, Perfect for Xcel Center, Loved the Towel Dog

  Great for attending arena I chose this hotel to be close to the arena where I was attending a show. Its diagonally across from an entrance to the Xcel Arena. The staff is very friendly, the rooms comfortable if not luxurious and the Liffey Irish restaurant/bar that was open until 1:00am was GREAT. The arm chair, desk, desk chair, bed and pillows were all very comfortable. I was able to work and relax comfortably. Towels were a little stiff which is typical, but were large and mid-thick as to be expected for Holiday Inn. The water pressure was a bit weak (surprising theyre that conservative considering the amount of precipitation they get in MN), but temperature adjusted almost instantly. Room temperature also adjusted almost instantly which was wonderful when I wanted to heat the room for getting out of the shower. I did not rent a car, but watched drivers register and be given a card to use at the adjacent garage for $15 I believe. Front desk happily arranged a cab for me. There are several restaurants and bars across the street and a very nice Italian market with bakery down the street. Downtown office buildings are just a slightly longer but doable walk from the front door. With that said, one of the highlights for me was the Towel Dog that greeted me on the side table. Something so simple and absolutely no-cost put a big smile on my face. I really appreciated the gesture and wish more hotels would take the time to do things like this that make you feel wanted, or put a smile on a well traveled face; it can make the difference when you have your choice of hotel. Highly recommend for anyone going to the arena and downtown; I hope to return God willing.

  nice hotel

  Nice hotel. Greeted by polite efficient staff. got booked in, lugged all my stuff to the second floor and the keys didn't work. I left my luggage up there and went back to the desk, got it fixed. Room is nice and clean. the walls are a bit thin. gentlemen next door was on the phone slot, assuming since I only heard one person talking. couldn't make out the conversation except for the F bombs and S word he used a lot. now I can cuss with the best of them and this did not offend me, but I can see others finding this horrible, especially if you have small children. I went to bed and I couldn't figure out how to get the curtains to be dark. the brown ones didn't move. so I tried to go to bed, but i pretended like I was in Alaska where its sunny for 6 months, I guess that gives me a reason why I live in Iowa. so I got some ingenuity and got out a spare blanket. which by the way is like sand paper, and the hangers with clips and created a makeshift room darkening blind. Then when they came to clean the room, they pulled the actual blinds that were hidden behind the sheers. now I feel really stupid! The breakfast was pretty decent eggs, sausage, pancakes, and everything else you would find on a continental breakfast. I just wish it started before 630. I work at 6, so I didnt utilize the breakfast much. I didn't take advantage of the pool or the exercise room. overall it was a good experience. i just hope they give me extra points for going green the one day. I'd stay there again, especially now that i know how to run the curtains. they have a restaurant that is attached to the hotel, but i dont think is affiliated, it was ok, but it was so convenient. Parking out front was not a problem. i was there monday to thursday.
