  Great hotel

  Had to cancel my Airbnb upon arrival because of a strong chemical odor in the Airbnb. Luckily, I was given a refund. Called the Holiday Inn when I was having problems making an online reservation. Website said rooms were available, but the hotel clerk said otherwise. She transferred me over to the reservation line and was given a king 2 room suite. Customer service was fabulous and felt comfortable and safe. Room came with a refrigerator but no microwave which would have been nice to have. Will stay again if in Shreveport.

  While the description states this property was renovated in 2014, it remains quite dingy. Moving through the public areas of this hotel felt like stepping into a 1960s housing project that has not been maintained. I realize things are slow right now, but this property did not get this way overnight. The room was average and mostly acceptable. The bed linens were fresh and comfortable, my favorite part of this room. Noticed rust spots on the metal fixtures in the room (lamps, etc.) indicating moisture issues. The least acceptable part of this room was by far the bathroom. It was quite small with a poor layout. The toilet paper holder installed on the side of the counter stuck out so far that the toilet seat could not be raised. Its proximity to the toilet seems unsanitary. The shower also showed signs of mildew staining. Found the front desk staff to be friendly and welcoming. Due to the condition of this hotel, Id recommend considering other options.

  Nice stay

  We picked this hotel because it had a bar. The website said the bar was open but it was not because of COVID. Also, a lot of construction in the area. But the hotel was nice and staff was also nice. Great location if no street construction.

  Worst Hotel Ive Ever Stayed In!

  I have given this review a 1 because there isnt a zero button! I fully appreciate limitations due to covid but even so. Lets start with food. Bar/grill. Server was super nice. She told me hope you dont want chicken cause we aint got any! Also no potatoe and only one steak. Breakfast was a disaster. Restaurant was closed so take away boxes, ok, I asked for scrambled egg with toast. I got scrambled egg covered in grits after specifically saying no grits! I was offered ham and sausage to which I said yes, only to be told were out of both! Now lets get to the room. I was in room 500. It was like a scene from My Cousin Vinny! The train track is a few feet from the edge of the building! They run all night! 05:50 I was woken to the horn blowing after getting to sleep at 3am when the train honked to say goodnight. No microwave, corrosion on fixtures as the room was damp, evidence of smoking despite a no smoking room. Mould in the shower. I called reception to ask if there was a trick to getting the internet to work and was told Yeah those rooms down there are too far away! The dispensers in the corridor and at the elevators for hand cleaning were empty for the entire stay. Staff on floor 5 didnt wear masks. The whole place was tired and not clean!! Avoid this hotel like the plague!!

  Train Wreck

  By far the worst stay with IHG Ive ever experienced! First, we were overcharged and the price didnt match what was sent via our confirmation. Second, the rooms are not the quality of other IHG hotels Ive stayed at. Third, the overnight staff on Friday needs training on providing quality customer service no matter the time of morning and work on not falling asleep at the front desk during their shift. Last, if you want to sleep - this is not the hotel for you. Trains ran all times of the day. The worst is that the train ran at 3 and 4am and had the nerve to blow its horn
