  1678, not what we expected but a good time

  My friends and I needed a hotel room for 3 adults. Well, we couldn't rent a regular room with 2 full beds and had to rent a suit with what we were told would have 2 king size beds. When we checked in our room ended up being on the top floor and absolutely enormous. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen with fridge, and a huge living area overlooking the giant Mao statue a few blocks away. Not fancy, modern, and of questionable cleanliness but great fun for the one night we needed it while we were exploring the city. Easy reservation online and check-in and out.

  Old and Tired

  Dear All, I stayed here for a business trip and arrived late at night and left the next morning. The hotel is at a good location but it's tired and old. -Rooms were old and bathroom was mouldy -Wifi is very slow -Breakfast is very ordinary. No western options and more tailored to the Capital Airlines Chinese crew it seems. -Not the best value for money. Better staying at Crowne Plaza next door. The hotel needs a renovation and when you walk in its just tired and needs a good face lift. I won't come back and stay and do not recommend this hotel. There are better value hotels out there.   Very basic

  Booked here for a 7 night stay that lasted only 3 hours. This hotel is very tired not what you would expect from holiday inn. We arrived to our basic worn out room to find that the AC was not working. We phoned reception who sent a Maintance guy who said he had fixed it so we went out to dinner with friends. When we returned from dinner we found the AC still not working. The problem with the AC coupled with the old tatty room lead us to tell reception that we wanted to cancel our booking. So at 10pm we where left struggling to find an alternative hotel.

  More Holiday Inn than Express

  OK there is no mini bar, no one to carry your bags to the room, you have to take your laundry down to reception etc etc. That's what makes it 'Express'. However in terms of room size and comfort, full marks. Bright and spacious. I liked it! Breakfast very Asian with only sliced white bread on offer if you like carbs.

  WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE

  NEVER stay here If you are a cash person.i wanted to pay by cash but they want it one for one!I am staying for 2weeks mind you!deposit totally ridiculous I try to reason but they gave me the dont stay if you can't afford look.worst staffs ever seen and all not welcoming at all.hope holiday inn do something b4 it's image gets tarnished by this place.i always chose holiday inn when I go overseas but this time is the worst I ever experienced.i walked out and went other hotel but this experience certainly deserve a negative review
