    The best food!!!!

    Dont be discouraged by the cheap paper printed menu on your room. The best thing about this hotel is the room service. I have stayed at 5 stars hotels in Las Vegas and they dont have half of the food quality that this hotel has. The soup of the day is a MUST. Specially the beef and mushrooms. The burgers can be better but they are still good. However the big winners are definitely the onion soup and quesadillas. The hotel can be very busy from working people so you can hear a lot of noise as early as 6 am. The pool is nice and service is excellent. Also the housekeeping staff does a wonderful job! I think the hotel needs a face lift since some areas look old. However it is 100% cosmetic since my stay was pretty enjoyable.

    Excellent staff, average accommodation

    Arrived on a Saturday afternoon for a 6 night stay. Hotel full of families due to a sporting event nearby. Greeted promptly and efficiently at check-in. Had a corner room, slightly larger than standard. Room clean but needs a touch up with chips out of coffee table and on paint around door frames. Did not detract from stay though. No room safe. Later I stopped by front desk to inquire where I could grab a paper. Clerk said all gone and initial clerk that checked me in asked how I found the room and that he was aware of a lot of kids running around and loud. Told me if I found I couldnt sleep or needed another room he would assign me one for the night. No need to move my personal effects as everyone checking out next morning. I would go back to my suite next morning. Just offered a quieter room. That folks is exceptional guest service. Had breakfast in lobby restaurant. Normal breakfast bar offering and friendly staff. Will cook eggs to order. Had dinner one night in same restaurant. Good food and very friendly server. Will return next time business takes me there.

    Great food but a few problems

    I've stayed here a few times because it was conveniently located very near to the Oakville GO train station. This place needs a renovation. It looks and feels old, and there's obvious signs of wear and tear. In my room there was peeling wallpaper, and the stucco on the ceiling looks stained. The HVAC in each room is so loud that i had to turn it off when I was sleeping because it would turn on every 10 minutes, waking me up. The breakfast buffet is decent enough, and the food at the restaurant is surprisingly good. By far the best meal is the chicken curry. The lounge is fine, but if there's any kind of sporting event on, they have it on the television and the volume is turned up to 11. Don't use the lounge if you're looking for a quiet drink after a long day! Ask for an out-side facing room, otherwise you room looks into the atrium and the swimming pool. Getting to and from is fairly easy, with good access to the QEW. At low traffic times, it's a 20-minute drive to Pearson Airport. All in all, I'll probably stay here again.

    Poorly organized

    As part of a group booking for a wedding at a local venue,10 rooms in total all booked a month in advance and 9 out of 10 rooms were NOT ready at 3pm check in.My room was 1st ready at 3:20pm.Because the other rooms were not ready,we had 4 adults and 2 children get ready in a standard room as the wedding was at 430pm and some had to be there by 345pm.One of the group was told they had no room booked,while the bride was sent a confirmation of the booking.Most of the others had to stow there bags in the brides room,as their rooms were not ready until 5pm.The staff on hand,said they were fully booked the night before,so it took longer.When the rooms are booked a month in advance,and recommended by the local venue,their answer was completely unacceptable.This poor organization caused undue stress on every guest including the bride and groom. I have contacted the venue and expressed our disappointment with their recommended hotel,so they can review whether to continue with them .I personally will not be staying at this location for any future reason.

    Wow

    How dramatic one night stay can change because of front desk staff. First night put me in flight to the best experience at a Holiday Inn, the female desk person really appealed to me what service is all about. Thank you The hotel is older but refreshed, very clean and accommodating, the cost was fantastic per value of room and location. Restaurant and pool open really takes ownership to commitment during these trouble times! Great food and service by the cook and bartender thank you So elated I booked a second night to fear this hotel cant be perfect! The morning desk agent was rude and not very sincere to me wanting to stay over, not to mention I dont think he spoke English very well!! He spent a long time on the computer trying to navigate through my booking through IHG. Being a recently Spire Elite member and 62 stays locally, I thought to hear at least a one thank you or mr or sir! None Almost like he was doing me a favor of accommodating me! Just thought I would bring this to your attention in case you think your not the only guest getting poor service! Hopefully you get the nice genuine lady I experienced my first night
