    Downhill from check-in

    At check in the the two ladies at the front desk barely spoke two words to us. One of them verified our name, that was it and handed us the room key. No directions of where the room was, the elevators, where to park, breakfast, Covid rules, nothing. After parking and getting our bags and coming back inside, I pushed the button for the elevator and waited but nothing happened. Pushed it again, nothing. Then I hear one of the ladies yell out "you have to use your key card!" That might have been something to tell me when I was at the desk 5 minutes ago checking in. Sure there was a sign, but I didn't even know to look for a sign. I was too mad that they didn't bother to speak or give us any kind of information. Next we get to our room, 219, and sit on the bed. It is loud and squeaky. If someone has not complained about that bed yet I am very surprised. There is no way people have been able to sleep comfortably on that bed and it not make any noise. It made so much noise just sitting on it, it was ridiculous. It was not due to me being heavy, it was due to the bed being broken and very squeaky. After we got things situated in the room and were getting ready to leave, I noticed the pillow case on the other bed. It had a massive makeup mark on it. It was not a stain. It was powder or foundation with black mascara that had not been through the washing machine. We then pulled the sheets back and there was all kinds of hair inbetween the sheets. We immediately went to the front desk and asked for a new room. Of course we barely got two words from the front desk ladies, but we did get a new room, 225, although the phone said 221. It had very clean sheets. It was a handicap bathroom, which my two cents about that; the tiles in the shower did not look that clean. Also, the sink counter and bowl sink were entirely too high. I had a hard time and I'm 5'3", how is someone in a wheelchair suppose to be able to use a sink that high? After taking a shower I attempted to dry my hair. I plugged in the hair dryer and it turned bright orange, smelled like something was burning and cut off. I couldn't get it to turn back on and had to call the front desk for another one. I did receive one within 10 minutes which was very nice. The woman working the front desk Sunday morning when we left was very friendly and actually spoke when we walked out. It was a quick one night stay, but I will not stay there again.

    beautiful in all ways

    newer hotel, modern, clean, quiet, good breakfast. All great for the price. Love the clean lines of the building and the rooms, comfy beds. Staff was friendly upon check in, We loved it, compared to a Quality inn we stayed at the nite before. It was just beautiful

    Not a normal Holiday Inn

    The hotel is on a great location with restaurants nearby and easy access to the freeway. However, am a loyal member to the IHG brand and I have stayed at multiple Holiday Inn branded hotels and this was not the normal brand experience. The curtains were broken, bathroom had missing towel racks, no coffee, the amenities were not the normal kind, the shower looked like it was pieced together. The outside of the building looked great, but the inside was far from it. The staff is rude and not friendly. I asked for coffee and the night shift make worker looked like I was dumb for asking. Its a shame this hotel is so ruin down with bad service and crappy rooms. Its like the room was pieced together to make it complete. The bed was very comfortable, but no outlets to plug chargers into without unplugging the lamp. Overall crappy room and experience. Maybe Ill try the place again when I travel back through and maybe the hotel will have better staff and rooms then. The outside gives it a deceiving look as does the lobby but the the rooms are not great.

    Dont even consider! Disgusting!

    Worst hotel I have ever seen! First room curtains falling down. Not clean! Second room they assigned to us was infested with ladybugs! Checked out! What a nightmare! Disgusting!!!!! Dont even consider coming here! Did not feel safe!

    Nice room, but....

    To the point.... Pros: ~Room nicely decorated, with vinyl hardwood floors. Very nice bed and pillows! Cons: ~ entire backside of hotel is LOUD from train which seems to run every 1 1/2 hours (even through a portion of late night)! With COVID, the place was half empty. Why didn't they think of putting me into a room o front side? ~person at front desk was not the friendliest, and didn't advise that the fitness room is closed (despite my two other hotel stays this week elsewhere which had their fitness rooms OPEN) or even when the pub/restaurant would open. ~ I called front desk later and asked about the fitness room. It was another person who answered this time. I got a very cold response that it's closed (kind of as if i was supposed to know that). ~ pizza delivery. I ordered a pizza only later to get a call saying that they will not allow deliveries to my room due to Covid. Again, even with Covid, I don't understand why. Nonetheless, I went downstairs for pickup and no one was around. I asked the woman at the front desk about the call I just received and she just pointed, with her head down looking at something, to a table in the lobby. The delivery person was gone, and the pizza was just sitting there. It's just the way she handled my question that she seemed indifferent. This is among my first revisits to an IHG brand (been mostly on the Marriott and Hyatt brand side) and must say that first impressions are important. I'm not quite sure i would stay at this hotel again, and will re-evaluate other IHG brands on case-by-case. If there were EVER a time for exceptional customer service, it should be now, when hotels are desperate for customers.
