Clean, friendly, renovatedDon't be fooled by the older looking exterior, this hotel appears to have been recently renovated. Beds are comfortable (and I'm picky) carpets and couches/chairs in rooms are clean. Right now, there is no housekeeping service (thanks covid 19) but every week, when I check in, my room is well stocked with towels and is clean. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I have been staying here at least 3 days a week for the last 3 weeks and will likely be here (business) all summer. If you are looking for a clean, safe hotel, this is it.

good hotel with great beddinggreat pillows, comfortable bed, very clean hotel. Despite the covid nonsense, the Dennys restaurant was open. Not great, but better than nothing. The TV is a bit dated and the remote didn't turn it on or off. The staff had to come and assist. But a good place to overnight while travelling.

not covid cautious friendlyWoman at front desk wore mask under her nose, had me sign credit card with electronic pen. They need to update their technology for COVID . She acted exasperated. Key pad entry door wouldnt work, room basic, Adequate but overpriced for what is offered. Close to 95 and take out restaurants.

Very Nice and great bedding!!We stopped here on the way to Myrtle Beach. Very clean rooms, sanitized remotes and bathrooms were spotless. Outstanding! But the mattress was the star of the trip!! I looked at the tag, i think it was a Beauty Rest Silver? I would love to know where i can buy one. Thank you Holiday Inn Lumberton!!

Not COVID awareStarting To travel In this pandemically charged climate is not for the faint of heart, I suppose, but we need to start traveling again even if this is to be our new normal.. Businesses seem anxious to get going and have been vigilant about sending out emails etc touting their safety and cleaning protocols in place, to coax customers back. Check in was fine, though not contactless like some other properties we have stayed at (Hilton and Marriott). There was purell available for after you had to give the clerk your ID etc and touch a pen. The issue was really with the room. Despite whatever they say on their website or in their marketing materials, I have serious doubts this Holiday Inn is following through. Walking in to our room after a long car ride 10+ hours, we needed a comfortable and clean place to sleep for the night. Walking in to see the 2 small pillows on the king size bed askew and sensing the stale smell of the room, I was first on edge. But, it could just be someone was in a hurry and didnt fix the pillows and maybe the stale smell was the fact that business has been slow. I was traveling with Lysol and some wipes, so I could clean up and disinfect. Then, into the restroom. I noticed the roll of TP on the spool was at its end and not a spare in waiting. Hmmm...well, I will just take a shower to wash off the drive and might have a better attitude. No shampoo etc on the vanity but notice they have dispensers on the wall of the shower. Ok. Thats fine except if youre in the shower already to discover that the shampoo and the conditioner bottles were either empty or broken as no product could be dispensed. I couldnt check because they are bolted into the case. So, however uneasy we get, we needed sleep so we could leave early to continue our journey. But all these issues when put together point to the fact, to me, that no one took any care in cleaning this room or maybe didnt clean it at all to prepare for the next guest. (As a comparison, we have stayed in 4 hotels during the pandemic thus far and this was the only negative experience by a long way. I know its pretty inexpensive, about $100 night, but that should Not affect cleanliness. The Hampton Inn and The Springhill Suites right across the street from here are only modestly more (20-30) and we have stayed at both. Thought wed try somewhere new, but regret that decision.
