  Convenient digs if you're catching a show at the coliseum

  In town for a concert, we needed a convenient hotel to the coliseum. This Holiday Inn worked nicely. We couldn't check in early due to a lack of cleaned rooms, but we ended up grabbing a late lunch and coming back. The front desk staff was very friendly. The room was big, clean, and everything functioned as it should. In-room coffee was passable. There was no free breakfast, but a buffet is available for a reasonable charge. We opted to walk down the street to a nearby Biscuitville for breakfast. The property provided the usual things you need in a hotel. We'll go back if we ever see another show at the coliseum. Recommended.

  Great location for the Coliseum

  If you aren't visiting for the Coliseum, it isnt a great area...but if you are visiting for a show/game it is a great spot. The hotel staff is helpful and friendly.the rooms were is fairly good shape. The lobby bar is a nice size.

  Clean rooms!

  Clean rooms, large rooms, nice modern lobby. Easy to access route 40 and walking distance to The coliseum. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Quiet hotel with thick walls. Really couldnt ask for a better place to stay!

  Just OK

  I was disappointed in this hotel. We had just stayed at a similar hotel in another city and booked here because the other experience was so good. The price is high for the condition of the hotel, which is older and in need of some remodeling and spruced up paint. The carpet is a dark brown and didnt look very clean. The sheets and comforter were rumpled to the point I wondered if they had been slept on already. On booking, I missed that the room had no microwave and had to go to the lobby to heat up my supper. There was a coffee maker in the room so I thought my morning tea was covered but discovered it didnt work. We chose the hotel for the central location and I guess thats what we paid for. I dont think I will be going back.

  Comfy room...that's it

  I recently booked 2 rooms here for 2 nights. I only stay at IHG hotels when I travel and I will not be back here mainly because of the lack of personality from the staff. When people travel, they want to feel good. People want to feel as though they are "home" even though they are away from home. A kind word goes a long way. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Kudos to the housekeeping staff. Restaurants are closed due to Covid, understandable; however, IHG is still selling breakfast packages even though breakfast is not an option. Hmmmmm. I worked out a remedy to the problem with the front desk staff. But, upon entering our room, there was a breakfast menu on our pillows in both rooms. Hmmmmm. We were staying in Greensboro for a few more days but opted to switch to a different IHG hotel. Overall, clean and comfy room, which is what really matters. If there is an event at the Coliseum, this location is perfect.
