  COVID Protocol not Followed

  No one was enforcing the requirement posted on their website that guests wear masks in public areas and there were numerous guests in the lobby engaged in conversation with no masks. Various staff members were wearing their masks with their nose exposed. We saw a maid cleaning a guest room without a mask on. We did not feel safe health-wise staying at this hotel and felt misled by the representations on the hotel website as to the supposed precautions they are taking. I called to express my concerns before posting this review and left a message for the manager, who did not return my call. Three stars is for the front desk staff who were helpful and pleasant.

  A Good place to rest your weary bones

  Lady at the desk was friendly and offered tips to make things cheaper for us. The room had a window blind that didn't work but we knew that before we took the room. Hotel is close to different kinds of food.

  Good and Bad

  Good: The hotel has been renovated and the room felt fresh, clean and modern. Breakfast offerings didnt suffer from the pandemic - instead of self service at the buffet, an attendant will bring you the hot food you want while you wait. Parking wasnt a problem. Location is conveniently near the freeway ramp and a Starbucks. Fridge and heater operated relatively quietly. Bad: My room was located near the exit by the stairway. This meant hearing the door bang through the night. It was also near the broken emergency exit which could be pushed open from the outside, meaning security was compromised. I notified reception of the door issue but nothing was done. People were freely using it, not needing to use a room key to access the building. One pillow had strong body odor. It either needed a new case or the pillow itself needed to be washed. Verdict: The hotel is not secure so long as the emergency exit remains malfunctioning, which is why Im giving it 3 stars instead of 5, especially given its location. Otherwise its a nice establishment.

  Convenient - nice stay

  Very nice Remodeled hotel rooms, very clean, nice grab and go breakfast. Very quiet and nice beds. Quick onto the highway and cheaper than staying in Sacramento. Internet is a little slow but fine. I would recommend staying here.

  Shower and Water Pressure

  We checked in...fine...room was clean...NO WATER PRESSURE and SHOWER DID NOT WORK. We had 2 rooms. 1 for us and 1 for the kids. In the morning, I went to take a shower and brush my teeth...NO water pressure to brush teeth and I went and tried to turn on the shower...NOTHING!!! ROOM 305 DOES NOT HAVE WATER PRESSURE and the SHOWER DOES NOT WORK!! Our only saving grace was we had 2 rooms. If we didnt, we wouldve been late to the FUNERAL! I tried to write to the management of the hotel and all the site would let me do was sign up for hotel emails. NO... Word of advice, if you stay at this hotel, CHECK THE WATER PRESSURE AND SHOWER BEFORE YOU UNPACK!
