    Great Hotel, Clean and Comfortable

We stayed here for one night. We checked in very late 11:30 pm. Desk clerk was super friendly and he had everything ready for our check in. The room was large and had refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, safe, tv, etc. very clean. We were on the first floor. Breakfast was good as usual...bacon, sausage, omelettes, cinnamon rolls, pancake maker, coffee, juices, cereal, toast. Hotel looks new. Next door to Woodland Hills Mall. Would stay here again.

    My go to in Tulsa

This is my go to hotel in Tulsa. Its surrounded by shops and restaurants. There is plenty of parking and its quiet. Avoid room 213 as the neon blue ambient exterior lights bleed in the window. My second stay in room 229 didn't have this problem. My neighbor did have a screaming baby that I could hear in the hall, but couldn't hear in my room. The hotel staff are nice and polite. They gym treadmills are great for an early morning run, bring your own headphones. They don't have the cheap disposable kind. My room was clean and didn't have any weird or bad smells, or carpet stains. All in all, I stayed twice in 2 months. And will stay again in the future.

Horrible front desk and management. AC at 75 degrees

We stay in hotels quite often, along with just getting back from 3 weeks in a condo, about 100 nights a year. We are a IHG member. As I walked in to check in, the person at the front desk just looked up at me and didnt say a word. VERY AWKWARD. I said I need to check in. They replied last name, I need drivers license ,credit card all without even looking up or acknowledging my presence. I felt like I was being punked. He handed me my cards and circled the room numbers and said here you go. NORMALLY we welcomed as an IHG MEMBER and asked if we want the points or snack. I unpacked in the room, noticing it was 75 degrees in the room! I immediately turned the AC DOWN. Both of our rooms were at 75 upon arrival. We both set out thermostats down to 70 and left for dinner at Flemings in Tulsa. If you havent had a steak at Flemings , you need to, theyre excellent. With superb service, one in Dallas area also. When we returned to our room that evening , BOTH ROOMS WERE BACK AT 75 degrees! I called the front desk , a different person answered and explained how they motion sensors on the thermostats and those probably hadnt been taken off yet. He was gracious polite and trying to be helpful as possible. He offered for us to move rooms, so my daughter went down and got keys to 5 rooms and they were all the same. SO OBVIOUSLY WE DIDNT GET ANY SLEEP THAT NIGHT AT ALL WITH THE AC CONSTANTLY TURNING ON ANND OFF .Going from 75 down to 70 back up to 75. I told the front desk about the next morning before I left for work. Well I first tried to grab a quick bite in the breakfast area, but everything was old . No wonder only one other person was there eating. I explained to the front desk person I needed someone to call me to verify the AC was fixed and how it was fixed so I would be guaranteed I and my family could sleep that night. After not getting a call by noon I called the hotel asking for the manager again, the replied with the same answer I had heard since the previous night the manager is not here I asked about my rooms, she put me on hold for 16 minutes and never came back. I called back again at 130 , this time she said theyre fixed. I asked how were they fixed. She put me on hold again and never came back again. At this point I was convinced I was dealing with either incompetence or just plain stupid, which you cant fix either. So I called a different hotel and booked 2 rooms . No way was I going to TRUST THESE PEOPLE with my familys sleep another night. I called back at 150 and told the person we were checking out and someone would be there to momentarily to get our things. Their reply was you will be charged for the rooms, our check out time was 11 am I said do whatever you think you need to do , I switching hotels because you cant give me a room that we can get a good nights sleep in!! When we arrived to check out, the lady at front desk, WHO FINALLY WAS THE MANAGER, was arrogant and conceded and obviously makes so much money and keeps that hotel so booked she didnt want our business. She was obviously unqualified to deal with a situation like this. I turned in our keys, she said thanks have a great day. I paused and said thats it? She said well I gave you $10 off your room. That right there told me everything I needed to know about her and her ability to manage a hotel and her training in conflict resolution. $10 was an insult and she knew it, and flaunted it in our face. It wasnt ever about the money, and never will be. How someone this incompetent has been put into a position to deal with people , I will never understand. FIND A DIFFERENT HOTEL, OR JUST LOOK LEFT AS WALKING OUT THE FRONT DOOR OF THIS HOTEL

    Average

The hotel was clean. Had to track down desk staff to check in. Our room had several little things wrong that needed to be fixed. No complimentary newspaper. Average complimentary breakfast. Milk was sour.

Guaranteed Room Type is NOT Guaranteed!

Using the IHG website and as a IHG Gold Elite Rewards member, I reserved two accessible rooms, each with two beds. When I arrived, I learned that we had one accessible room with one bed, and one non-accessible room with two beds. When I told the desk clerk that my reservation confirmation indicated that my requested room type was guaranteed, she told me that such errors sometimes happen when I reserve through a "third party." I reassured her that I always use the IHG website and never use a third party for my reservations. She said I should have called a day in advance to make sure I would have the room types that I requested. Clearly, she considered it my fault that they did not provide the accessible rooms that we needed. Although she remained polite and friendly, she made no effort to see if she could switch our rooms to accommodate our needs. Luckily, my husband is able to manage in a non-accessible room with some assistance, and for the rest of our party we made the accessible room with one bed work for the one night that we were there. On a brighter note, we did find the hotel clean and quiet, and the breakfast was the standard Holiday Inn Express fare with the cinnamon rolls that we love.
