  I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Southaven for work. Due to unexpected events, my check-in was delayed. Cherie was great-she reassured me my room would be waiting whenever I arrived-and that she would let Jamie know when she came in to work. I later realized itd be the following day before I arrived. Jamie was so sweet and told be just be safe. She had the cutest voice! Xavier checked me in the next day. He was awesome. He quickly went over the COVID changes for use of the amenities, which I appreciated so very much. Alex always wore a smile and had something good to say. Kyn shocked me one morning by calling me by name! Very cool. Ankit was amazing when my stay was extended from 8 to 12 nights but my company had not yet sent over the payment. And, last but not least, Ms Dorothy-who made breakfast for us-was quite a joy to interact with first thing in the mornings. My room was SO comfy. I even asked if I could buy the pillows. The other guests were all real chill, so no disturbances whatsoever. It was a great stay. When I left, I was genuinely sad that Id not see these wonderful people again in my near future.

  Fantastically Clean Hotel

  I stayed in this hotel by chance at the end of a business trip in July. I was amazed at how clean the entire place was. My room looked as if I was the first person to stay in it. The front desk staff were friendly and check in was quick. I was in the area again at the end of August and knew just where to stay. The facilities were still exceptionally clean and again the front desk staff were wonderful. The hotel is easy to find and has ample parking. Very happy to find this place!

  Nice place to stay if you are not concerned about cautionary Covid procedures

  The service here was great. The accommodations were welcoming and seemingly clean. There were signs posted mandating that all staff were required to wear masks and guests were encouraged to wear masks. However, out of the six employees we encountered, three wore masks properly, two wore them on their chins and one, who was cleaning rooms, had no mask at all. That was disappointing. We still don't understand why businesses bother to post these signs and blatantly disregard the expectations. However, everything else about this stay was wonderful. Breakfast was a treat and, again, the service was refreshingly impressive. We would return...after these Covid things settle down.

  Website says nothing about pool reservations, Pool was cold and dirty

  I understand covid is an issue , but make people aware of pool availability. I stayed at 2 Holiday inn's , in different states back to back. If I would have known reservations were required or that a heated pool was in fact, ice cold and dirty (hair and debris floating around ), I would have stayed at a less expensive Hotel. Also breakfast was challenging in Southaven , as you wait in a long line for 1 person to run back and forth to get items. Ridiculous. And I tried to express my frustration on the Hotel website and it doesn't allow you to contact management. It wants a confirmation number that doesn't exist, because 1 reservation was made through Costco. Oh and room cleaning never came. I stayed for 3 nights.

  Valentines/Engagement Weekend-snowed in

  This is a very nice, quiet and clean hotel. After being stuck there because of the weather (snow 2021) Jamie J made sure I had a hot breakfast every morning. A very sweet young lady. I wish her nothing but success in her future endeavors. I pray that she gets the opportunity to bring her children to orange beach this summer. Enjoy!!! Yeah, everyone made me feel like family. Under The circumstances, everyone was very professional! They kept it as safe as possible (clearing the snow) from the front entrance. Every employee was wearing a face masks. Didnt enter my room unless I requested it. With COVID-19 still going on, that was very important to me. To top everything off, my fiancé proposed to me on Valentines Day at this hotel.
