  Horrible

  Big Trucks in parking lot, and had to park on the side by taco cabana and my car was broken into!..to top it off hotel was not clean, and the breakfast was lacking. The floors where sticky in the breakfast food area and the fruit was old. When checking in the lady was very rude and when I asked to speak to a manager, she said she was!!...never again.

  Good overall

  Pros: good price, clean, modern, spacious room, can walk to Taco Cabana and In-N-Out because they are right next to hotel. Starbucks nearby, too. Helpful staff, especially a young lady who helped with breakfast and kept eating area looking very clean. Mattress and pillows provided just the right balance of soft yet supportive. Free parking and free, tasty, hot breakfast. Cool machine that makes pancakes with just the press of a button. Spacious fitness room. Cons: noisy neighbirs and next door to us. Walls appear to be thin so heard neighbors walking around and talking and furniture moving at the start of the night, very visible large dry stain on lounge chair in room, room could be vacuumed a little better, especially under the bed, pool looks small considering the size of the hotel.

  Privacy and Security Issues

  I stayed at the property for two nights, Monday and Tuesday evenings, November 11, 2019 and November 12, 2019. An hour or so after I had checked in, my door opened, and there stood another guest who was also given the same room and keys. He went away, obviously back down to the front desk. I then received two phone calls from the desk, asking for my information, and then it was insisted that I come down to 'sort it out.' After all of that, I returned to my room, and discovered my key no longer worked. I had asked before going back upstairs about this, and I was assured that it would work fine. I realize this was a mistake, but this was completely unacceptable. The top priorities of a hotel should be to make their guests' safety and privacy an issue that cannot be failed upon. To make matters worse, I was offered no explanation, apology, or any offers to make things right. I contacted Holiday Inn several times via Twitter, their website, and by phone, and was never contacted by anyone in management to offer an apology or offer anything to make things right, even though I was told several times someone would be contacting me.

  Excellent stay

  I stayed here one night prior to an early flight out of SAT. The hotel is only 10 minutes from the airport and is like new. It's an excellent choice with easy access to and from Interstates 35 and 410. Super clean and in new condition. No issues.

  DO NOT STAY HERE

  I am a Spire Member so obviously stay in IHG hotels all over this country and have for years. It is a shame that this hotel has IHG or Holiday Inn Express associated with it. First room we were in, no A/C. So we go downstairs to a 10 person line at 10 pm of guests complaining about literally everything. Once we get up front , they proceed to send us to 3, yes 3 occupied rooms. Had us walking in on people in bed, in the shower, etc. The clerk did not seem to care much and finally gave us the MASTER KEY and told us to go knocking on doors, calling out housekeeping , until we found an unoccupied one. Which we refused to do. After much arguing she finally agreed to go find us a room herself. When we got into our 4th room almost 2 hours later , there were no batteries in the remote, went to take a shower ( soap and shampoo dispensers were completely empty, went to get out of shower because there was none of that, one small hand towel was all that was in bathroom. Neither the Fridge or coffee maker worked either. Ill have to say the Kureig not working wasnt that big of a deal since they didnt supply any coffee pods anyway. As I sat downstairs the next morning and listened to very angry guests come down, I was obviously not the only one that had huge issues. And on top of that, the staff couldnt have cared less. Some even laughing as they listened to complaints. Ive tried to call 3 different times to speak to the manager and everyday, he is not in. SHOCKER. I hate writing a bad review but I felt it necessary because I read reviews before I book and I wish someone would have warned me away from this nightmare of a hotel. IHG and Holiday Inn should seriously consider their association and having their name on this place
