  Very comfortable bed and great service

  My family lives in Rochester Hills and we were back to visit. The Holiday Inn express was a great value. I am usually a very light sleeper in hotels but between the black out screens, the beds and the pillows, I slept 11 hrs my first night there (and we were on the M-59 side of the hotel) ! Staff was all incredible but Judy at breakfast especially stood out as being awesome. I can't remember the last time I've met someone so genuine and welcoming as her in a hotel. Hotel is very close to the Clinton River trail which is nice for a run/bike ride. The only thing I'd love to see would be a hot tub in addition to the pool!

  Clean and great hospitality

  We had to visit Rochester Hills with my parents because my dads wife had to visit a headache specialist in the area. I stayed in a double queen bed suite with my 3 and 8 year old sons and my parents had a king suite. Positives: Cleanliness: excellent Hospitality: outstanding Beds: firm mattress and comfy pillows Kitchenette: great (microwave and fridge provided) Parking: free Lighting in rooms: wonderful! Especially in the bathroom Water temp and pressure: great Storage: lots of spaces and nooks for storage in the room. Breakfast: great variety of hot and cold breakfast choices included with the price of your room Restaurants: there arent any in the hotel but within a 5 minute walking distance they have lots of choices, like Panera, 5 Guys, and the sit down restaurant right next door was delicious. Negatives: none I dont think well be back in the Detroit area anytime soon. But if you are, we highly recommend you stay here. This was the nicest holiday inn Ive ever seen. It was just as nice as any 5 star hotel without the amenities like a spa, in-hotel restaurants, or bell hops.

  Family visit here.

  Our family lives in England and our home is small, so we book them here for convenience and comfort. They love it! Hotel is business focused, so no one is ever in the pool or fitness room when they are. Breakfasts are delicious - this visit they enjoyed the pancake machine. They use the adjacent walking trail and walk to our room.

  Great location

  Big safe parking lot, easy to get on and off the highway. Rooms are quiet and very comfortable but I have always had trouble regulating the temperature. Breakfast is the typical Holiday Inn stuff. Lots of restaurant options in the area including a pretty big place right next door - a 90 second walk.

  Really great basic hotel

  I stay here frequently for work. Its always exceptionally clean and quiet. Breakfast is good and the staff is always very nice! Ive stayed in a few other Rochester Hills hotels and this is my preferred place.
