  Last minute trip - very good experience

  Stayed just one night at the last minute. Rooms were SUPER comfy and TV was wonderful for New Years. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Shoutout to the Heet who checked me in. I am very sound sensitive and i wanted a quiet room and I knew it would be hard as many people would be celebrating. He worked hard to ensure that the room chosen would be perfect... I travel alot for work and not everyone at the desk is helpful.. Stay was wonderful. Comfy beds.Clean and Fresh Room. regards julie room 422:)

  Great hotel...a couple of hiccups

  Loved this hotel. The decor was perfect and I joked to my hubby that if I were single and with no children, I could live in my king unit. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because we had several issues with our room that were not resolved in a timely or satisfactory manner. 1. Heater. The have a heating/cooling control on the wall that does not work. You have to control heating/cooling from a wall/floor unit. When we entered our room, our heating/cooling unit had an error code on it that we were unable to reset. (E5). Our room was freezing. After reporting it, the issue was not addressed. We slept in a cold room and had to prepare for a funeral the next morning in a freezing room. Hot shower to a cold room is not cool. We reported it again on the way out to the funeral and it was repaired when we got back to the room. 2. Remote control in the room did not work. Reported and it was never repaired. It is not a big deal, but we had to use the manual controls on the tv to power on/off, etc. reported again upon checkout. Hopefully fixed for next visitor. 3. Bedside lamp light was out. Reported and it was repaired. 4. Last, housekeeping did not do the best job in our room. Returned to our room after being out all day...bathroom was clean and the bed was made but cups...remnants from the complimentary breakfast - old juice and coffee, were not taken away. We discussed all these things at checkout and we were not issued any discount for our issues. She did, however, assure us all would be in perfect working order for the NEXT guest. All that being said, it is a really nice hotel. Outside of the cold room for the first night. Breakfast was great and the assistants in the breakfast cafe always had a smile and were very helpful. *If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the highway. It is pretty noisy on the front side closest to the highway.

  Best Holiday Inn Property In The State

  I've been to almost 6 Holiday Inn properties while my condo has been getting repaired and this is hands down the best. and newest. You can eat off the floor of the lobby with 3 televisions and computers; several couches, chairs, tables and chairs where my friend and I brought dinner in and watched the first NBA game of the season after the front desk gave us our own remote for one of the televisions for a few hours. The first hotel who's lobby and room were competently air conditioned with clean filters circulation clean air, with new carpeting and refrigerators. Snack bar with cold drinks and frozen dinner and ice cream next to the front desk with several restaurants, Costco and Walmart nearby. It's worth the 30 minute ride from Newark Airport to stay in the only 5 star Holiday Inn in the state of New Jersey. IHG corporate should take a visit and then hold their other proprieties in NJ up to the same standard. I've never written a Tripadvisor review about such a fantastic hotel but appreciate people who do, so I'm returning the favor.

  Contractual Violation, Uncivil & Rude Staff, Disorganized

  We had a one-night stay at this hotel. The official check-in time is 3:00 PM. We arrived close to 4:30 PM, approximately 1.5 hours after the official check-in time. The hotel staff told us that our room was not ready, and they did not know when it would be ready. The front-desk agent was extremely rude. She never apologized. Instead, she said "the official check in time was not guaranteed" and we would have to wait until the room is ready, which might take an hour or longer. The manager on duty was very uncivil, rude and unprofessional. When it turned out that they had no idea when we would be able to check in, we told them that we were leaving and instead, going to Crowne Plaza. The Manager said "Get the hell out of my hotel! I am now calling Crowne Plaza to make sure they will not accept you." My conclusion is both staff members had some serious behavioral issues. We understand that Covid-19 has deeply affected the travel industry, but this is not an excuse to employ people who are unfit to work at the hospitality industry.

  Like family

  Ive been staying at this holiday inn off route 1, every week since February 2020. Always feeling welcomed during this covid pandemic. The cleanliness has always been top notch and with never experiencing any problems I will continue to make this my weekly business stay.
