    25 the anniversary trip

    We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Nassau for a week. We were very happy with our stay... The hotel was very clean, and modern and offered breakfast every morning. The location is in the downtown area with lots of action. We enjoyed the pool everyday which over looked Bay Street and Junkanoo Beach. The pool area had a bar which was open on the weekends. They staff were very pleasant,and very helpful. The Manager, Eric Reynolds is a great guy, always willing to chat and making sure we were happy with our stay. He gave us a couple referrals for dinner, which we would recommend as well. "The Cricket Club" located on West Bay Street,which is located across the road from the "The Fish Fry" and the "Ichiban Restaurant" which is located next door to the hotel. Both had great food! And a shout out to the young lady (Stacy) who works the towel hut at the beach is awesome. Always went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable, and always willing to get us ice for or drinks. And also the young lady (Rashea Edwards) who worked the front counter she also went above and beyond to help us out when needed as well. We had a great time while staying here, we were sad when we had to leave.

    Disappointing Stay

    My husband is a Spire level at Holiday Inn, and Awe decided to spend the end of our 35th wedding anniversary trip with Holiday Inn in Nassau. What a disappointment. I called them trying to set up bed choices, and they told me to call back on Monday (found out the call cost over 20.00, so if you live In the US, double check the cost of the phone call). I emailed the hotel directly, with NO response. Called use 1800 number and they tried to connect me, and they hung up on me. In the past, whenever we took an anniversary trip, we have always had something special in our room to celebrate our anniversary milestone (usually the Hilton). I informed the Holiday Inn it was our anniversary, so they knew it was a big milestone. No congrats, nothing special from the employee checking us in. We got to our room, and it wasnt the nicer room we had booked and paid for. We tried to resolve it, but they didnt have the room we booked. The room had sand on the floor the entire time we were there. The maids would stand outside our room and bang things LOUDLY in the morning. The pool didnt seem very clean, so I didnt use it. Fees and taxes were crazy expensive for the level of hotel amenities they offer. Breakfast was sub-par, staff didnt seem to care the bathroom was the smallest Ive ever been in. Not impressed and normally Holiday Inns are fine for us, and we dont expect the moon when staying there. I would NOT stay here again.

    Pleased Guest

    The location is always the best part. Close walking distance to delicious local food restaurants along the Arawak Cay and convenient to traveling downtown. The fun and relaxing beach is directly across the street. I love the mix of locals and tourists. The hotel and grounds were very clean. The room was spotless and provided a beautiful view facing the beach, especially at sunrise and sunset. The staff were extremely nice and very accomadating. The cost per night is extremly high. That was the only disappointed because I've stayed here years ago and it was way less expensive. Overall, I'm quite pleased with our stay.

    I usually dont write reviews but, I had to for this hotel. The staff was super nice but, for the money I expected better. The hotel is disgusting. I had to buy bleach to clean the room and bathroom..
