  Clean, updated hotel!

  We stayed one night while traveling. This hotel was great! The front desk staff were terrific and very helpful with dinner suggestions. This hotel was conveniently located near several restaurants, gas stations and right off the highway. The hotel had been updated and was extremely clean and quiet. Our room faced the highway and we had zero issues with road or hallway noise. Due to covid19, staff served you a hot breakfast in lieu of self-serve buffet. We would absolutely stay here again!

  FYI No mask enforcement

  The hotel was clean and comfortable but they were not at all enforcing their stated mask guidelines for indoor areas, telling me that people in that area have religious and medical objections and that its brand policy not to enforce masks in shared areas. I was ready for a hot breakfast but seeing most guests in the lobby not showing any concern for safety of the staff or fellow guests we got the heck out of there. I realize its a lot to put this responsibility on front line workers especially since theyre the most at risk but if this is brand policy then travelers ought to know.

  mixed feelings

  i have mixed feelings about this place......i'll give my pros and cons and you can decide..... pros.... -the staff was great! -the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable...i fell asleep as soon as I laid down which is something that never happens for me.... -the towels were soft and fluffy....not the usual super stiff towels you find at a hotel.... -easy location to find -room was relatively clean except for the shower....see cons.... cons..... -i found a couple of dead bugs in the room.....a spider in the bathroom and a beetle by the door.....i can't hold it against them since my room was on the first floor but as someone who hates bugs dead or alive it was not something I really wanted to see..... -the peephole in the door was way to high. I'm 5'4" and even on my tippy toes i wasn't able to reach it....that may or may not be a problem for some people.... -the room was pretty clean BUT there was hair in the shower and it seems like some kind of mildew on some parts of the grout......eeeew....just eeeew.... -breakfast was pretty sad.....i was excited when i saw they were offering cheese omlettes until i asked for one and received it......i thought adding sausage to the mix would make it better but i was too afraid to eat it and trust my stomach on a long road trip.....I'm not sure what it was that was put on my plate but it was unlike any cheese omlette i had ever eaten.....it looked more like a taco shell.....see the pic....judge for yourself.... all in all it wasn't too bad of a place....i got a good night's sleep which is what i really needed so the cons weren't too bad....except for the hair in the shower....no excuse for that.....i'd stay here again if the price was right.....i would just get breakfast at the mickey d's down the street....

  Except for siren child next door, exceptional stay!

  The siren imitating child next door went off every hour, two to three times an hour, from 3:30 to 8:30AM. Thankfully, we went to bed at 9, and so did the child, so we got 6:30HRS uninterrupted sleep. The hotel was not full, so we were disappointed that we stayed next to someone that prevented us from having a 5 star experience at this exceptional hotel. We stayed here since it was only 40 minutes from my husband's childhood memories that we revisited on this trip from FL. We also prefer Holiday Inns. Our check in was quick and Catherine was friendly. CDC protocols were followed during our stay (masks, social distancing, hand sanitizers or wipes provided). Our room was immaculate, comfortable, and smelled great (not like disinfectant). The bed was comfortable, and the television had plenty of channels for entertainment. We also had a coffee pot (with coffee pods), small fridge (no freezer), microwave, desk area and lounger. We had plenty of outlets and charging ports. Lighting was good, too, with black out shade to enhance privacy and prevent morning sun from awakening us too early. Breakfast was perfect for keeping safe & healthy. We could grab and go (muffins and fruit) or select a hot breakfast to take back to the room. We chose the latter, and had scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gray, toast & jam, coffee and orange juice. We could have had bagels, teas, cereals & milk, yogurts & more. We are in our room, observing social distancing requirements. Check out was flawless: quick and friendly, with an apology for the baby siren next door.

  So wonderful!

  This hotel stay was one of the best we ever had in our travels! It was immaculately clean, I felt safe, the staff were so very friendly, the amenities were of the best quality and the room was clean and very inviting with comfortable beds! I would gladly stay here again in my travels to that area!
