  Beautiful Hotel, Great Stay

  My husband and I spent the night at this hotel on our way down to Galveston for a cruise. All we were looking for was a clean, comfortable hotel in a safe area. The Holiday Inn far exceeded our expectations. Its only 2 1/2 years old and decorated in a contemporary style. It was very clean, and our room was lovely and very comfortable. There is a nice expanded continental breakfast.Staff were friendly and helpful, one even recommended someplace to visit on a future vacation! We liked our stay so much that we booked a room there for our return trip home. There was a great shopping/dining area within a 15 minute drive and I wish wed had time to do more than just eat dinner there, as I would have enjoyed exploring it further. We highly recommend this hotel.

  Great Stay!

  Stayed from Thursday-Saturday and had a great stay. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. They served a nice breakfast with enough choices to start your day. The location was easy to get to. There is still a lot of building up in this area so nothing is right near the hotel but it is not far to find whatever you need.

  Excellent Hotel!

  My husband and I stayed at this hotel last May and found it superb! I had actually tried to post a review previously with pictures and something went wrong. I had intended to recognize two WONDERFUL staff members wh helped us so much. One was a lovely desk clerk who assisted my my husband several times. He had asked the location of the ice machine which was actually located on another floor. He thanked her. Instead she told him she would go get it for him! Whenever she saw him she asked if she could get him ice or anything else. She was the epitome of caring about her guests! The other person who was so welcoming, helpful, and caring was her supervisor. It was these two great employees who made our stay so perfect! The hotel itself was extremely clean. Our room was extremely comfortable and the bed was great. All the staff were very friendly. Breakfast service was very good and enjoyable. I used the Business Center several times during my stay and it was easily accessible. I highly recommend this hotel.

  Month long visit

  This stay of 16 days represents our third time for a visit. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. You merely need to ask for something like extra towels or wash cloths, and it's done. My wife required a seat in the shower, and the manager, Jesse, purchased one for the hotel. Next day, there was a seat in the shower area for my wife to use. I would recommend the stay even during this Covid-19 time. Although they are unable to serve hot food, the hotel does provide, coffee, tea, breakfast bars, yogurt, fresh fruit. Muffins, orange juice, milk, muffins, cereal. I recently stayed at another chain that begins with an M and they only offered breakfast bars and water.

  No Hot Water or AC

  Bring a diamond member with Hilton, I am always reluctant to stay at non-Hilton hotels. However, we were in town for a soccer tournament and had to stay at specific hotels. The lobby was very nice and the ladies helping check us in were very friendly. Our room was nice too. The issues were that we had only lukewarm water on the first night (Friday) and ice cold on the second night. Sunday morning the water was again lukewarm but at least showers could be had. The AC also did not keep up with keeping the room cooled. Upon checking out, when I was asked how the stay was, I told the front desk the issues we had. Her response was: oh, yeah, that happens when we are sold out. I also thought it was odd that during the COVID-19 pandemic that housekeeping was going in to the rooms each day to clean unless you asked for it not to be cleaned.
