  Weekend hiking in Ithaca

  We have stayed at other Holiday Inn in the past but this is the first time in Ithaca, NY. The hotel is fairly new and well kept. Check in was quick and pleasant. I like the new Holiday Inn room with simple, sleek an efficient design. The room was clean. I brought my own disinfectant wipes and quickly wiped down the room as soon as we got in. The room was spotless. The hot breakfast was decent. We checked what we wanted on the form, then the staff got the food for us. This process is new because of Covid. It worked out fine. Hand sanitizers are everywhere in the lobby and the breakfast area. Overall, our stay was pleasant.

  Fine, terrible lighting

  Clean, nice service. The lighting in the rooms is atrocious. Whoever thought putting in blue-white lights was a good idea should be relieved of decision-making tasks. People do not need blue-white light before bedtime, it messes with your circadian rhythm and melatonin production. Good lighting is super important in a hotel of all places! What a disaster. I felt like I was in a science lab, not a warm relaxing hotel room.

  Best hotel breakfast after 4 days in the road!

  My sister and I stayed at this hotel while on a bucket list trip to the Finger Lakes. The room was great and they are going above and beyond with their Covid 19 precautions. While other hotels along our way cancelled free breakfast completely or offered a brown bag breakfast of yogurt and a muffin, this a Holiday Inn Express still has their free hot breakfast! Instead of buffet style, you fill out an order form and the two worked HUSTLE to get your order. You can eat there or take it back to your room. Those two working the breakfast bar were great at keeping up with the Saturday morning demand! We wanted to tip them but they would not accept our money.

  Perfect Weekend Getaway!

  We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. We stayed here during COVID and we felt safe with the precautions the hotel took. They still served breakfast but orders had to be placed for safety. The rooms were spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location was excellent, we were able to walk to Buttermilk Falls and other attractions (wineries, brewery, restaurants, stores) all were easy to get to. Thank you to the staff for a great stay! Would def. recommend and plan to go back!

  Safe COVID Stay, Friendly Service

  This trip was a necessity for our child's college move-in plan and we stayed 3 nights. Our King suite was spacious, clean and updated. There were two desks that allowed us plenty of space to work and a very comfy settee. The Wi-Fi service worked great. We had to order in meals during COVID and there was plenty of space to eat and relax in the room. I am a clean freak and everything from towels/bedding/carpet/appliances were clean. The breakfast process was super easy and almost faster than traditional pre-COVID self service. Plenty of breakfast choices. The staff, from check-in to breakfast, were friendly and accommodating. Very easy to get extra supplies that were hung on the door for non-contact service. The lighting in the bathroom was pretty terrible as another reviewer mentioned, but I didn't have to look good for a special event, so it didn't matter LOL. Our room location didn't bother us, but if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the road because there is noise from road traffic. We liked the convenient location close to shopping and many restaurants. We will definitely stay here again.
