Respite during a stressful timeWe stayed here for a week due to its distance from UC Hospital. It was approximately 1 mile away. The room was very quiet and had darkening shades over the window to keep the room dark during the day when we need to rest. Room was generous in size. Internet was free, fast and reliable. Large bathroom. Numerous food options available nearby. Would recommend if you need a relatively inexpensive place to stay near the hospital.

Rude customer serviceSo, I have been staying at this location since Oct. 31. It is now Dec. 22nd. Up until now, I have had a remarkable experience here. My rooms have been nothing less than amazing! The housekeeping service is top of the line. The entire staff including management has been awesome, with an exception of one staff member name MAX. Max should not be employed at this wonderful location with his attitude and lack of knowledge, of this hotels policy. His snobbish cantankerous attitude is totally unacceptable. He definitely needs to be working at a 7-Eleven, on the graveyard shift. Visualize that! Now, to the incident. Keep in mind, I have did this before with other staff members without any issue. Anyway, I am set to check out tomorrow. During my lengthy stay, I charge items from the marketplace located downstairs by the front desk, to my room. Then, when I prepare to leave, I pay for the items with my card. I asked Max to separate my incidentals so I can pay for them now. He is staring at the charges and begins to manually count each item under his breath but loud enough for me to hear, I purchased since Nov. 22nd smh. Then, leaves to go to the back like he had to do something real quick. He returns to the desk and says just place your card in the reader. I reply, how much is it? He then replies we charge you $100 and whatever the actual charges are, it will come out of the $100 we charge. What?! I never had this problem before, I am just paying for the items I got from the store. Everyone else didnt know what they were doing. This is what you have to do. We need your card on file. No, you do not. My companys card is on file. Well, this is the way it is suppose to be done. I am not paying $100. Well, you can just come back in the morning and talk to someone else about it. I sure will. Whats your name? *points at name tag*. I cant read that. MY NAME IS MAX! I will be speaking to the manager in the morning. Max needs to be retrain in good customer service instead of displaying hood customer service (he is not black but I am). Staying away from my family for work since Oct. 31 and having to deal with his attitude??!!! I think not!

Good value but remoteThis is a new property. Everything works well and it provides good value for money for the level it aims at. The included breakfast was OK, there's no bar or restaurant. The only problem with this hotel is its remoteness. There is absolutely nowhere to go in the vicinity, and its located in a pretty run-down area. But for a quick overnight stay and then move on, it will do.

DisappointingIt all starts when you try to get in the front door and have to buzz the attendant to let you in, all the while the guy is standing at the desk watching you walk up to the door but will t open it u til you press the intercom button !!! Next you get to your room, very nice suite until you try to adjust the temperature on the thermostat, it is controlled by the master downstairs and doesnt go below 72 or so they say!!! Will definitely spend the extra 15-20 bucks next time and stay in a motel that allows you to do what you want.
