  Short Business Trip

  I booked this hotel based off of price and availability at the time for a short two night stay on a business trip to Columbus. My stay was great and short of one little issue at check-in everything went great. The first room I was put in the TV didn't work but the front desk staff quickly assigned me to another room once I informed them of the issue so no major problem there. Two big pros for me with this hotel was the breakfast and the room setup. The breakfast had a great selection and everything was fresh, hot, and the area was extremely clean. For the room the setup was very modern and had some nice features as well. This was the first hotel room I have ever stayed in that I didn't need the extension cord I'm used to traveling with. There are literally outlets everywhere in the room, including USB ports on each side of the bed. Overall great experience and will be returning to this property for future trips to this area.

  Football Weekend

  HI Express Columbus is a great place to stay when coming to MSU for a game. Extremely clean, well appointed rooms. Breakfast bar is well stocked with high quality food. Shane at reception is very thorough and conscientious.

  So nice!!

  The front desk reception was so nice and helpful. This hotel is much nicer than most Holiday Inns. They pay attention to details. My bed was super comfy!! The breakfast had so many nice options. The workout room was very nice with many machines. Wish I had time to enjoy the back patio with fire pit.

  Football Weekend

  Recent stay for Bama/MSU football game. Very nice new property. Very helpful & friendly staff. Nice size room with very comfortable beds. Hot breakfast with fresh eggs, sausage links, turkey sausage patties (not my thing), cereals, fruits, yogurts, pancakes, juices, etc. very good, would have been nice to have some potatos but not complaining. Loved the gas fire pit outside. Very nice stay.

  Covid Disaster

  The room was dirty, obvious due to hair on the sheets of the made bed, trash left behind, etc. Certainly no confidence that the extra disinfecting measures took place. The locking mechanism was broken in such a way that the door did not lock behind me when leaving for the day. The front desk promised to fix the problem but failed to do so leaving the room unsecured and my possessions vulnerable. While other hotels in the chain provide breakfast during the pandemic with some safety modifications, this one simply does not provide any breakfast. Will not return.
